Recently, one of our users was involved in a serious accident. After a truck collided with her vehicle and fled the scene, she woke up in the hospital with little memory of what had happened.

Fortunately, her Redtiger dashcam captured clear footage of the other driver’s truck, the company name, and the driver’s image. The police confirmed that this video played a key role in identifying and apprehending the hit-and-run driver.

We are grateful that our product could assist in this case and relieved to know that our user is recovering well. With her permission, we’re sharing the dashcam footage so you can see how the Redtiger dashcam captures crucial details during an accident.

Insane that the driver would have left the scene of such a bad accident.

Driver of the truck 100% responsible...that said, few things that jump out;

- Driver is in far left lane with multiple clear lanes to her right. Left lane is for PASSING only which she was not. Had she been in lane 1 or 2, she would have had options to brake hard, turn right and possibly avoid this.

- Roadwork and/or roadwork was clearly happening and the truck had emergency lights on which is a sign to slow down. Her speed actually increases a few mph going in to the corner.

I feel for this woman having lightly rolled a car once, it's a very scary experience. Hope she is ok and that the driver of the truck is held accountable.

Message I take away is it's always important to be vigilant, know your surroundings and drive accordingly.
