Hey guys, I currently have a Lightning XLT. Had a 2015 F-150 XLT previously that I've put over 268,000 miles on. Good truck when I had it.

The one thing that has me going is that from my '15 I lost the front jump seat. I can't tell you enough how much that was used with my family. If I had to live without it I could but I want to see for fun sakes if it's possible to retro fit it in.

I did some research today. Seems like these trucks are extremely similar to an ICE F-150 when it comes to interior layout. Wonder if I could pop the center console out, mount the jump seat in, retrofit the steering wheel gear selector, put in the appropriate front dash trimmings to make it look OEM, and voila? The thing I'm worried about being a pain in the ass is the steering wheel gear selector. I could make a custom harness if I had to but wonder if the truck will reject it like a bad organ. I'm real fascinated by this idea. Anyone think this could work?

I think you will have a lot of work in front of you, but I think you can do it. Not sure if I would worry about a column gear shift. People have already modded it to use the escape dial. I would use that and make a custom mount that came in by the change purse.
I wish ford would have offered the jump seat on the Pro and maybe the XLT. I had it on my Silverado and loved it for that rare time I needed room for 6.
