I thought I'd review the extended warranty contract.
This is under "What is not covered" fogging/moisture of lamp assemblies,

Good thing most of the backup lights on my bar have faulted, perhaps it’s from the bar being full of water.

Someone reported in a FB group they were denied on extended warranty with the light option as they were told it wasnt a light.
This issue came up today at the dealer as I will be out of warranty later this summer. The shop foreman pointed out the light coverage availability in the Ford premium care extended service plan.

I have the option on my Premium Care contact (although it does not show that option in the Ford system). Separate issue that the dealer is working to fix.

The dealer said that it covers light assemblies. If the option is deleted from my contract, then it says that I “ will not receive Interior/Exterior lighting coverage for electrical failures on incandescent bulbs, halogen bulbs, High Intensity Discharge (HID) and LED lamp assemblies.“

I take this language to mean that any LED failure will be covered so long as you do not opt out of this coverage.

I also understand that you can purchase an extended warranty from Ford so long as you are under the factory three year/36,000 mile bumper-to-bumper warranty.

Got my bar finally replaced this morning. Surprisingly it took the dealer 45 mins to do it! Faster than ordering it (3 weeks)!lol!
It is storming here right now so will see if the part is holding up....

Can anyone explain this to me as I am quite confused. Just had the tailgate light bar replaced… out of warranty by 3 months to the tune of $1,600.00. My recalled receipt says on the back that Ford parts have a 2 year unlimited mileage warranty. Dealer says NO that it has only 1 year 12k mile warranty. They say if I would have bought it, it has a 2 year but only 1 year for recall warranty parts. Does this sound rediculous or what. Sent in my NHTSA complaint.
