Any experience with WeatherTech’s sun shade, specifically their full vehicle kit?

Wondering how helpful it’d be at DCFC stops in Texas heat…

I have the set for my I-Pace for use at charging stops and I haven't used them. It takes at least 15 minutes to unpack->install->remove->pack. They dont make sense for the typical 30-40 minute charging stop, especially since you're also going to be using the restroom and getting food/snacks at the same stop. It's probably best to just stick with an easy to use windshield suns shade for typical stops.

They'd probably be worth it if you're planning on camping inside the truck since they offer a lot of privacy along with the insulation value.

I have the full kit for my 2019 F150. I assume it would be identical for the Lightning. It takes maybe 2 minutes to put them up. I don’t bother with the rear ones unless I’m parking the truck for an extended period of time. I just do the driver, passenger and windshield and that provides tons of shade. I’m looking forward to using it in the lightning during charging stops. It makes it very dark and would be super easy to take a nap with them up. I’d recommend them

Hey there! I don't have personal experience with WeatherTech's sun shade, but it's definitely worth considering if you're looking for full-vehicle coverage. Texas heat can be pretty intense, so any kind of shade can be a big help, especially during DCFC stops. That being said, have you heard of Snap Shades? They're a great option for many car models, and they're designed to fit perfectly and stay in place without any suction cups or clips. It might be worth checking them out and comparing them to the WeatherTech option to see which one would work best for you. Best of luck staying cool out there!
