I’d love to hear if the power running boards were a standard install or if modifications were required. Really want them on my Pro.

Owner says that they (AMP Powerstep Xtreme Dual Motor AMP78152-01A) fit right out of the box.

Are those wheels rated for the weight of the Lightning? I am really curious what the range impact is from the lack of aero on them.

You had me at powered running boards.

Looks like the wheels are load rated for 2500 lbs so they should be good for the Lightning:

If you're comparing to a Lariat's stock 20" wheels, my guess is you'd be down to maybe 280-285. The wheel/tire package is lighter, but they have a larger contact patch and presumably have more rolling resistance. Maybe the running board delete will make up what would also be lost to the fender flares.

I’ll do a bit more research on the regular F150 forums, but wondering if these steps come out to a different step point than the attached boards. I very much dislike the attached standard ones on my Lightning. Would prefer if they came out further if not out and down for others who get in the truck.

Do the running boards have the integrated zone lighting?

Amp boards are great. I had them on my 2018. I liked them better than the stock boards on my current 2021 Lariat. They come down farther and project out more than the stock boards, or the factory power boards.

They do include some lights. You have to drill through the pinch seam on the bottom to mount them.

They look good, but not $2k Good, unless they increased range by like 5-10% :)
Agreed, I love them but they're a bit rich for my blood. I do think you'd get a few percentage points of range by using them, though.

I received 10% on boards so I jumped at $1,799+ tax. I figure on my pro I have 13k to play with to get to XLT level, without their shit I don’t care about like cloth and carpet. Only thing I’m missing is the front and rear light bars. The rest of the higher trims I can go without.

I like the look but would miss the extra zone lighting that was built into the stock running boards. I wonder if there's away to incorporate additional lighting that uses that circuit.
