I was on my great Route 66 road trip with my son when i hit a piece of truck tire. only damage was to the plastic side cover protector of the battery box. was able to fix it myself when I got home except 2 of the screw "receivers" on the frame were destroyed. If it was just one I would jury rig it but with 2 of 5 being out of action I would like to find exact replacements for the screw receivers. I can't seem to find an exploded diagram of the frame around the battery box that might show the part number. Can anyone help?

Should be able to look up a diagram & hopefully provide a part# in the morning.

Let me know if any of those diagrams look right. I don’t see where any of the bolts or retainers that state that 5 are required. But if you are able to identify which one, I should be able to get you a part number for it.

I really appreciate your help with this! In the first diagram, part 4 is the side shield. 2 of the 5 screws go into bracket part 5 and 6. Three other screws go into the frame along with 2 plastic push retainers. I will attach pictures of what I could recover. The center part is threaded and the, for lack of a better word, spring cage expands to hold the whole thing in place.

Im guessing that these are side shield nuts? And the retainers are the plastic push disk things that I was able to source at the auto parts store.

Np. I also included the part # for the bolt, just in case. I would cross reference the A/M retainers u got with the OEM part number, just to make sure it’s the right area. If so, you should be good to go.

Well Ted, I went to my local ford dealer to order the parts. He found the push retainers but could only find the side shield bolt in the brackets which he would charge 40 something dollars for. As I don't need the brackets, just the shield bolts, should I try another dealer or call your parts department?
