I just had the brake recall done and in talking with the tech, he recommended topping off the 12v about once a month. For that interval, I'll just do it the regular way.
I'm not sure if I should add this to the recall thread or have a separate one, but here we be.
I purchased the truck new last July. For 6 months my kWh was always pegged at 2.3, never moved. A couple of months ago it did bump down to 2.2.
Since the recall fix one day ago, the kWh reading...
I wonder if you made an additional pin for the other side holes, if that would help lessen the bounce.
Something like a hex wrench or just bend a piece into an “L”.
As long as the bushing held it in place, it might add additional rigidity, maybe? Thoughts?
Yes, it will block the power panel, but you can rotate 90 degrees (or 180) for access. I think it might be a bit cumbersome, especially with a topper, in that you may need to reach up and over the extender to use the plugs.
I'll try it today and see how it goes.
It will also block the storage...
I haven't driven it yet with the tailgate down, but it does have a locking pin on each side which goes into the wall of the bed. I think that will limit the bounce.
I picked this guy up used and finally got around to installing it. As others may have said on here, older versions had the pivot bolt screw into a threaded hole in the bed.
For newer models, you have to remove the tail light and put the bolt through the hole and attach the nut.
Pretty straight...
