2023 Platinum - massage / multicontour seats - retrofit options

I’m in the market for a pre-owned Platinum, and I’ve noticed that all of the window stickers show:
“MULTICONTOUR SEAT REMOVAL - $300.00”

My understanding is that this was due to the chip shortage and that the massage seat functionality was removed because the necessary chip wasn’t available.
Does anyone know if these were retrofitted later on? And if I purchase one that never had the retrofit completed, would it still be possible to have it done now?

No retrofits. I don't know what it would take to do it yourself but I bet it would not be worth the cost and effort verses buying a truck with the massaging seats.

2022 Platinums are the only year without deletes and before decontenting. They have bed scales, park assist, garage door opener, and probably other stuff I'm not aware of.

What they don't have is factory warranty remaining. Given Ford Quality is Job 1™ a newer model might be prudent. I'm rolling the dice on my 2022 but I totally understand why someone wouldn't want to own a Ford out of warranty.

A few guys on other ICE forums like fordtremor.com have done this. Costs about $1500 worth of parts and about few weekends of doing the work. Then you have to tinker with forscan. But it has been done.

Don’t do it it’s too much work and pricey Z just buy an early 22 or a 24 if you don’t need 80

I have a 2024 Platinum which got most of the features / content re-added after the chip shortage. Exception being the multicontour (lie-flat seats, automatic parking, second row under-seat storage divider, front seat head-rest speakers, work-lights in the running boards, and homelink).


While I do have the massage function, I do want to retrofit to the multicontour seats. I asked one dealer in Toronto if they'd be willing to sell just the seats but they refused.
