If you received an APIM update recently that is absolutely possible. The NAv application itself is apart of the software package. They typically change in updates. Not all updates but most major updates.
On the 12" Lightning there are options to change the Maps and how they look. THere is a...
THe only way to keep up with Map updates is noticing a road that is now there that wasnt before. I had a Church I used to pass by daily and it wasnt on my nav and then it was. I checked my trucks server data nad the map files had updated. I have only had or seen one single map update since...
I dont believe so. THe ICE trucks use a different Navigation application. They use Telenav. Lightnings use Garmin. I havent seen the bread crumbs. I always had to turn them off because they are on by default
IPMA has ethernet. So it is MUCH faster via OTA than FDRS. I dont know why the IPMA cant be updated via USB in FDRS but it would be much faster if it was possible.
The rest of the modules are not large updates. TCU, Gateway, APIM, IPMA, IPC all are ethernet.
Thank You for testing it. That sounds how mine behaved. I played with it some last night
I could turn the location off in the truck and it was off in Fordpass as well. The issue was I couldnt turn the charging location back on in Fordpass only the truck.
You can add ACC to tron vehicles. I was the first to do it with a 23 Super duty which was the first vehicle to Have TRON.
The CCM is not apart of the encryption so isnt a problem to add. The only time TRON is an issue is when changing out a module that is apart of the TRON encryption. PCM<...
the Mach E 25 does have tron.> I do not believe the 25 Lightning has Tron.
Tron wont prevent forscan changes. Tron is strictly for canbus.
I have installed Tron modules in non Tron vehicles. I did a TRON IPMA in my 21 F150 for testing.. And it worked. That being said I didnt do a full test...
The propulsion sound requires a Platinum ACM and DSP. I tried to add it to my Flash and it isnt possible with the ACM in the Trucks below the Platinum.
One possible way would be to install a Mach E ACM Since they all have it.
It could be the PCM. 22-23 use a different PCM base part number. 24 and 25 have a new PCM.
Will need to have a 24 that uses their truck more than I do to really test it out.
I edited the first post. And please understand that the menus may not work because the other modules have to be updated. That is the same thing for anyone that upgrades to the 24 IPC firmware for charging speed. You have to update the modules I noted in teh first post.
I think I was correct the first time and the 6 is also required. It isnt in the new sheet I have.. E it wont remove anything it just enables the advance charging options.
Here is that bit though on the sheet
Well It should work as long as you have the Sync version I mentioned on the first post. Seems to be confusion if it shows on the 12"
I do know for the screen to work once it is showing in the feature tab modules have to be updated to the latest version.
I dont know why it is not showing on...
No.. if youre at the newer APIM version it has the updated Strategy file. I WIll have to look monday on my bench. I remember going into the feature option and it being in there as a independent option
