@TaxmanHog @RonB: Quite an amazing story... which I can't divulge in full but my truck sits in my driveway as of 2 o'clock today. As of last Sunday, it had been 80 days sitting there awaiting shipment and, in total frustration, I blasted out emails to four Ford execs complaining and giving them...
Thanks for pointing that out. The last time I looked at my sticker was Aug 3rd and it was Convoy then. I wonder what the significance of the change is. I did always assume it was coming via rail, to Jessup, I think.
My Special Order codes also changed, now "M377 D 6B AJ 250 004602 07 29 22"...
I'll be happy to just get shipped (it's been 73 days since built!) ... and then I can start fretting over delivery! BTW, estimated delivery is now 9/18 to 9/24.
Anybody have any suggestions how to "shake the tree" and get these last two 6/13 trucks started to their destinations? I've tweeted...
My delivery window has been updated for the eighth time to 9/6 - 9/12. Truck was built 6/30 and released for shipment. In taxman's list of 538 vehicles, the average built to shipped time has been about 9.3 days with a max of 47. Here I am at 63 days and counting ?
@FlasherZ, I currently have a mechanical "interconnect" (I think it's called) controlling the source (generator/grid) to a sub-panel with all my essential services. Given the neutral bonding issue, I assume I'll have to replace the interconnect with manual transfer switch that can handle the...
Any product recommendations for this transfer switch? I already have a subpanel with all my "essential" loads that has a mechanical switch so I would like to avoid the big bucks for one of those Generac HomeLink boxes that I have seen recommended elsewhere. Thanks.
New delivery window: 8/19 to 8/25. It took a chat session to get the new dates. After my last window expired, my "reservations and order" page went blank and didn't list any date.
Built 6/30, still sitting at the factory.
@tommolog also mentioned this in his InsidEVs article yesterday. Presumably heated seats are off the 12V battery, reducing the HVAC load on the big battery.
"Currently, F-150 Lightning with the standard range battery has a combined EPA range rating of 230 miles per charge. Ford expects that...
My delivery window has just moved up...
from 8/14-8/20 to 8/9-8/15. Sixth change!
I'd like to think this means they have finally found a rail car headed to Maryland but it's probably just an IT glitch. Order Track still says Awaiting Shipment.
It's the "New Vehicle Support Team". They were very nice, sympathetic, etc. but couldn't do anything except tell me what I already knew... that it is built and awaiting shipment. They did assure me that there were no issues holding it up just availability of transportation.
Blend 6/15, Built...
