  1. [UPDATE: It's repairable...] Well, F-150 Lightning it was nice knowing you... Hopefully, I can find another...

Right. I don't think I was complaining. That is why I responded to that comment with the below a few days ago...
  2. Ford Branded DCFC (install in process at my dealer)

I just love seeing DC Fast Charging lighting up in that part of WI! Now, if only they could get some more going along I-43 between MKE and Door County. I did see that a Cadillac dealer in Sheboygan now has a 50kw DC "Fast" charger, which should suffice in a pinch. Sorry to derail your thread...

Not sure yet if the battery pack was damaged at all. The body shop just got the vehicle this afternoon and is starting to take a look. I heard them mention to the receptionist that they're assuming it'll be a total loss, but won't know more until probably tomorrow.

Thanks. They were in a Toyota 4-door sedan of some sort...
  5. [UPDATE: It's repairable...] Well, F-150 Lightning it was nice knowing you... Hopefully, I can find another...

I will let you know if I might be able to work that out if it is totaled. Funny thing is, the dealer had just given me a free set of letters because they needed to replace a letter 'I' that had fallen off under warranty.
  6. Hit-n-Run

Having just been in a big accident with my Lightning last week, I most definitely sympathize with you. I am sorry that you are stuck dealing with this.
  7. [UPDATE: It's repairable...] Well, F-150 Lightning it was nice knowing you... Hopefully, I can find another...

I hadn't heard that, but not surprised. But, yeah, I bought a Tesla Tap early on with my Mach-E a few years ago and am happy to buy a NACS adapter.
  8. [UPDATE: It's repairable...] Well, F-150 Lightning it was nice knowing you... Hopefully, I can find another...

As long as Ford sends the NACS adapters to all of us owners, I'm not concerned about holding off for that. I do wish that I could hold off for the 2024 for the heat pump to eek out a bit more range in the cold Chicago and Wisconsin winters, but, if it is totaled, I will be replacing with another...
  9. [UPDATE: It's repairable...] Well, F-150 Lightning it was nice knowing you... Hopefully, I can find another...

I went with the Mishimoto, since the Swarfworks was out of stock at the time I was purchasing.
  10. [UPDATE: It's repairable...] Well, F-150 Lightning it was nice knowing you... Hopefully, I can find another...

Having never been in an accident before, I guess I was maybe thinking it was worse than it is. I think my thinking that it might be totaled was because I was thinking there may be damage to the battery pack. Maybe it is salvageable though and can be repaired. I would almost rather it be totaled...
  11. [UPDATE: It's repairable...] Well, F-150 Lightning it was nice knowing you... Hopefully, I can find another...

Now, that I have had a little bit of sleep after that, I am left wondering why at least the steering wheel airbag would not have deployed. Thankfully, my son and I really were physically unharmed in this accident, but it seems like I should have expected that the airbag would have deployed in...
  12. [UPDATE: It's repairable...] Well, F-150 Lightning it was nice knowing you... Hopefully, I can find another...

My first actual accident ever in 27 years of driving happened tonight. Thankfully, my son was fine in the backseat. A woman who had just been in a fight with her boyfriend blew a stop sign and sped out in front of us. Thank goodness there were witnesses and we are totally in the clear and...
  13. Ford service on these recalls/customer programs is absolutely atrocious.

I have had a similar experience to that of the OP with Ford dealers in/around Chicago. The dealer that I work with for all of my service gave me the run around for about 5 weeks after I had taken my truck in for the 10,000 mile service and to have the recalls all looked at. I called week after...
  14. Quick help needed - Stop Safely Now and Charge Fault errors while 5 hours from home, but was able to clear with 12v disconnect

Well, I managed to get the truck home to Chicago from our cottage in Wisconsin without any troubles yesterday and it is sitting at the dealer now having that issue looked into and having 4 out of the current 5 recalls dealt with and also having the couple other warranty issues I have dealt with...
  15. Quick help needed - Stop Safely Now and Charge Fault errors while 5 hours from home, but was able to clear with 12v disconnect

I have plugged back into my Grizzl-e at our cottage and it is accepting a charge again now. Topping up to 100% before heading out of town for sure. Fingers crossed I'm all good for the trip home. I just scheduled a service appointment for tomorrow morning.
  16. Quick help needed - Stop Safely Now and Charge Fault errors while 5 hours from home, but was able to clear with 12v disconnect

If I was able to clear the error and drive for 10 miles this morning, but then have a five hour drive in a few hours, will I have anything to worry about? Is it possible the error was just a fluke and I will be good to make this drive today? Has anyone else run into the error and cleared it with...
  17. A few questions as I wait...

The self parking feature is pretty darn amazing. And still no need for the fob in my book. The touch to lock on the outer handles or pressing the bottom two buttons of the key pad on the driver door work really well, but the key is making sure to remember to use them.
  18. A few questions as I wait...

I have a Mach-E First Edition for about 2.5 years now and have had a Lightning Lariat for about 10 months. I prefer the Lightning in almost every way, but there are a couple of things I prefer with the Mach-E. The two things I prefer about the Mach-E are how easy it is to find parking as...
