Ugh. Nothing like your heart sinking after reading your phone and seeing this message… knowing you have to be to a meeting in an hour, and have three more scattered all over the place this same day.
Luckily, it had charged up, but red ring syndrome hit, and it will not charge anywhere. So...
Yeah. Riiiiiiiiiight.
If BS was music, Ford would be a brass band. Likely cover up. Let’s see how fast they fix the problem on the 500 2024’s built, versus the 100,000 2023’s sitting on the lots not moving.
After traveling down Hwy 51 in November, Wisconsin STILL hasn’t taken EV charging seriously. Doubting I’ll ever make it to Door County in the Lightning. Most places, if you aren’t staying, you’re not charging. Went to the Osthoff Inn. Stayed. Two 110V cords on the lawn for EV’s. Pitiful.
Eh, no worries here. I’m so confident us Lightning owners have “today’s Tuckers”.
After Ford totally abandons us and the Lightning EV platform the end of this year, we’ll have several years before the value of our trucks comes up due to availability. Then, they’ll hit the classic stage, and...
If any of you have hung on any other truck forums, you may know I’ve been a big Ford Truck proponent for well over 45 years, owned close 30 Ford trucks, and logged about 2.5 million miles in them. I’ve always thought Ford was #1. Now I’m afraid the Lightning may prove otherwise in the future...
Good Luck, Buddy! Unless you are basing the offer on the PT Barnum Principle, you’re pricing away off in today’s market. Way too many dealers looking to offload red herrings similar to ours.
Why have you removed the panel so many times, you’re having clip issues anyway? It’s not like it’s designed for repeated daily/weekly entry. Just curious.
In the end, Ford has bigger pockets. They’ll refer responsibility to the insurance and can support the fight. The battle to prove responsibility is likely a huge uphill battle. Hoping the OP can have his insurance take care of it for the least impact. Unfortunately, the vehicle owner will...
The LAST thing I’d be advertising is my dog was on the seats. I’m betting the farm this was a dog nail poking thru the leather and gouging a wire that started this. I’ve had long trips with my pup (70#) sitting on heated seats, but he never gets directly on the leather. There are always...
Why did you lose the box link? Mine are still fully intact with both boxes. I think you were misguided, or installed something incorrectly if they don’t still function with the boxes. There’s a lot more tie area on the link than the rings you installed.
This better not be the case for my 2023 purchase. The dealer, let alone the IRS had no idea in 2023 what they were doing. My tax guy said to just bring in my sales contract at tax timeZ
Ford better get on the stick. I dropped the Ford charging app. It was mediocre at best. Plus, it won’t recognize a customer’s plan with another charging company for reduced rates. I pay $7 a month for Electrify America membership. It reduces the kW cost to $0.34 from $0.48 (min). For now...
FYI, both of my box brackets are installed OVER a full BedRug, and I have no issues. I never cut out the side rug, just cut slots for the screws to pass through.
I have one on each side. Moved from my 2022 to my 2023 to my Lightning. Mine were a gratuity from Ford, otherwise I would have never spent $450 on the pair. Ford labeled.
Mine fit like a glove, although I expect if overloaded with weight, the latches might not latch perfectly. Love the...
If you’re getting 1 mile per kilowatt, you might want to check your driving or the truck. If the costs were truly the same, what would be the point in going EV?
I know a woman who charges at an Electrify America in Joliet probably about every other day for all I know. She sits in her car and charges to 100% EVERY TIME I see her there. Chargers like that should recognize the VIN, and overcharge the user when they notice frequent use like that to 100%...
