Agreed it's not much draw. But it does cause a message about slower charging rates with PPO on to come up on the touchscreen. And with how slow the UI is that's quite a few seconds that it takes to come up and actually be dismissible....
So yeah, first world problems to be sure. But I'd like to...
I tried searching the site, scrolling back through thread titles, but did not see a thorough discussion of this. Feel free to link to old threads that might I might have missed....
Anyway, my '22 Lariat ER that I have had since mid June has a weird behavior with the Pro Power Onboard. The...
I haven't read the whole thread, but I did watch the video posted by OP. Looks like the only "innovation" here is tricking the truck into going into gear with something plugged into the charge port. That's against FMVSS or SAE specs AFAIK.
But the way you have this genset set up, there is a...
Crazy story indeed. Hope you get your truck fixed and some sizable reimbursements.
Even downtown Durango has bear resistant trash cans for a reason ...
Surprised you thought that you needed so much charge. I just did 550 again this week (in my '22 Lariat with OEM street tires) and was up...
I commuted for years on 120V @ 12A at home and sometimes at work which was ~40mi round trip. I would go a month or more without using a single drop of gasoline in the Volt.
Something to think about is the trip hazard presented by the cord. The only place that has refused to let me charge from...
Doing tire shopping for my new to me '22 Lariat, 33k miles, which will definitely need new shoes before winter. I live in the mountains in Colorado, so need something that is going to perform very well in snow and ice but not completely crumble on gravel roads or melt in Moab heat.
Priorities...
Good video, Robert's a stitch.
The part where he talks about mpge and 33.7kWh of energy being in a gallon of gasoline is a red herring though. There may be that much thermal energy in a gallon, but not that much useful work. That's more like 10kWh/gallon. That also makes the electricity to...
Just an update to close this out. Dealer was finally able to install the replacement latch hardware part yesterday. Seems to be functioning as designed now.
If he installs a NEMA 14-30R receptacle ("outlet"), you can buy a 14-30P (plug) to 14-50R adapter. This would let you plug in the 14-50 end of the EVSE, but does not guarantee the EVSE knows of the correct amp limit for the circuit.
The OpenEVSE can be purchased with a 14-X plug that will fit...
Fordpass app says this was pushed to my vehicle. Haven't been out to it to confirm or drive it since. '22 Lariat ER, I don't think I'm part of this EAP group, as I'm not even sure what it is. "Early Access Program", I assume?
Calendar aging, storage SOC and temperature, etc are going to make way way way more difference to battery longevity than whether you drive another 5, 10, even 20mph faster....
Mine sticks on the latch about 80% of the time.. if I help it past the latch with a few pounds of upwards force, or if it's one of the magic times when it makes it past the latch on its own, then yeah it's quite noisy. Mechanical pop or two, some metal on metal grinding sound, and then the...
I would not call 7-8kWh / day a "slight draw". That's what we've observed leaving sentry mode on while away from the house. Recent updates claim to have cut this down some, but we haven't re-checked it. Keeping most of the car on just to process and store images is very silly and wasteful....
The other thing that might have triggered the issue for me is that I had invited and set up PaaK on my girl's phone the day prior. I didn't make the connection until just now. Did you make any changes like that recently, @JAXLightning ?
Could be a coincidence, two does not really scream pattern....
Did you try a clear cache before uninstall? Apparently it's the clear storage that will bork your phone as a key data...
