Where are they opening one here in CA? PlugShare says one is coming in Inyokern, but no sign of construction as of a few weeks ago. I will be there in just over a month.
Make sure the FCSP firmware is up to date. There was a firmware version a while ago that had that exact symptom. I had it happen once. Updated firmware and that cleared the problem. Other people have reported the same thing.
Correct. I do not want DRL to be on EVER. As I have said, I am rather strongly opposed to them. And yes, I am aware that in some other countries, they are required - but not in the USA.
I'm in the Los Angeles area and see other Lightnings pretty regularly. Unlike some of the other electrics (Tesla and Rivian) the Lighting does not stand out as much.
My solution is to completely disable the DRL. I am opposed to DRLs primarily because WAY too many people are driving around at night with the vehicle completely dark except the DRL. Secondary reason is there are circumstances where any white lights are unacceptable yet you may want to leave...
Thanks! I knew I had seen it, but could not find it under charging options. What would be cool is if that adapter bundle also works on the Ford mobile charge cord. The connector (from what you can see on the website) appears to be the same.... No idea if it's wired and configured the same.
Regarding one-time departure time,
Agreed, but I don't live in a cold environment. Also at least currently, my truck is not plugged in overnight at least 5 nights per week (driveway logistics issue). In fact a month or two ago I turned off my scheduled departure since it was totally...
That option is only available on MY 2025. The earlier trucks don't have that option.
That also depends on what adapter you are using. The only 240V that comes with the Ford mobile charge cord is for a 50 amp outlet. I recall seeing on the Tesla site that they have more options available, but...
As I recall, the Tesla mobile charger is similar to the Ford version in that on the AC inlet side there are adapters for the various AC plug types. A common problem on the Ford mobile charger is that if that adapter pigtail is not FULLY seated, it will fail exactly as you describe. I've had...
PlugShare.com is a good reference that largely shows most (not all) networks. It also usually has recent check ins from other drivers and photos of the location. The photos are very useful to help determine if you can get a short Tesla cable to reach (or if you are towing a trailer). You can...
There is no logic to that at all. It simply operates in whatever mode it was in when the truck was shut down. Same thing as the cabin heating / cooling unless you have that in Auto.
