  1. Anyone figured out how to turn off the frunk beeping yet?

If someone finds the frunk speaker let me know, i’ll be out in the driveway with wirecutters in about 7 seconds.
  2. Edmunds EV Range Test: 2022 F-150 Lightning Takes Down Rivian R1T

Good result. Not surprising with a 60% city/40% highway test. Oddly, they came up with the exact efficiency that I use as my baseline efficiency in ABRP, 454 Wh/mi.
  3. “Rain Sensing” Wipers Don’t work

Well, dang. I didn't even know the truck had rain sensing wipers!
  4. Success: Charging 2 EVs off one 14-50 outlet

How much was the 14-50 delivering to the Lightning? It sounds like the Tesla was eating up most of the power output at 7kW. Or did it just pull 7kW until it was full then the Lightning got all of the power?
  5. Lightning Real World Range -- What's Yours?

Was there any type of weather affecting the range? Rain? Wind? Temperature? Elevation gain? Even loaded down I'd expect well over 2.0-2.1 at 65mph travel speed.
  6. Electrify America - Redesigned labels coming to a charge station near you

That would be great, too. I usually have checked their app to see which station I want to pull up at. Then you get there and the stations don't have a number that's readable from a distance. It would be incredibly easy to add this. We should all carry some 4" black vinyl numbers in our...
  7. Electrify America - Redesigned labels coming to a charge station near you

I just want to know why they chose Chicopee as their inaugural station. Why not a nice place instead?
  8. Electrify America - Redesigned labels coming to a charge station near you

That's a good idea. They're going to have to do something. The average person doesn't understand EV charging stuff at all. Right now it's all up to the consumer to figure it out.
  9. Electrify America - Redesigned labels coming to a charge station near you

I bet they kept them similar colors to prevent people who don't know better always grabbing the 350kW, whether they need one or not. Everyone on this forum is pretty knowledgeable about the difference but I suspect the great majority of EV drivers have no clue about the difference between...
  10. ⚡️ 2024 Jeep Recon EV Announced! (essentially an all-electric Wrangler)

Yes, they’re the same type of vehicle.
  11. ⚡️ 2024 Jeep Recon EV Announced! (essentially an all-electric Wrangler)

Same segment, for sure. The Equinox will be a cheaper, less capable compact SUV but it’s still a compact SUV.
  12. âś… 5/23 Lightning Build Week Group

I’ll leave now! See you this weekend! Have a beer ready! ?
  13. Lightning Real World Range -- What's Yours?

Mine seems to be between 2.3 and 2.4 depending on what percentage of hwy driving I'm doing. Last 500 miles, or so, have been 2.4. The previous 2000 were heavy on highway miles and it was at 2.3. It's been good weather so there's probably been minimal battery conditioning and HVAC. Us cold...
  14. Lightning Real World Range -- What's Yours?

When you’re in 2-pedal the brake pedal just acts as regen “paddle” unless you are going really hard on your brake pedal. The physical brakes are rarely activated in typical driving. It actually probably gives you better control of the regen than in 1-pedal but i doubt there’s much difference...
  15. Brake Lights with 1-Pedal

I’d be surprised if this wasn’t a regulatory requirement if the regen slows the car beyond a certain rate. Pretty much any current EV will have regen equivalent to moderate braking in an ICE vehicle.
  16. Why 150 KW Fast Charging Limit ?

I agree, people are using knowledge about “safe” DCFCing from previous EVs and expecting more from the Lightning without considering that the charging equipment can’t handle it. But the reality is that it was never going to be much better than it already is on 400V. Rivian is trying to coax...
  17. Why 150 KW Fast Charging Limit ?

I know this is an old thread but after having the truck for a bit and DC fast charging quite a lot (due to several longer trips) I think this whole discussion is over pretty much nothing. Sure, I'd love 800V architecture and 300kW charging but in todays EV world this is more of a technical spec...
  18. Tinted front light bar on F150 Lightning using special tint made for lights

That looks great, I may have to do that mod on my SQM truck.
  19. Towing torture test by TFL: Lightning vs V8 Silverado

Interesting that he started at such a low SOC, the truck was only reading 48 miles of range at the beginning of the test.
