I haven’t either, i was saying they *should* be putting in 20 stalls at high volume spots. When the fast charging crunch really hits, around 2024, things are going to get ugly. They need to ramp big time NOW.
That's what I thought initially but I don't think you get any points at all for the truck purchase, it's just for activating connected services/Electrify America. ICE trucks get 42k and EVs get 22k+250kWh.
Hey! I stopped to charge at the Tewksbury EA on Sunday, too! That would’ve been a hell of a chance meeting! I was there between about 5-6pm. I live only about 10 minutes from that station.
I hope we see some of the big names installing larger stations on major routes. Most of the EA stations up the eastern seaboard are still 4 pedestals with a few having 8-10. They should be putting in 20+ pedestal stations at this point. At least in high volume locations.
I haven’t used any other current bed covers but it seems well built to me. It also has a Ford emblem on the back left corner, you can kind of see it in the first pic.
I don't care if they have a bigger battery option, but I want better efficiency and faster charging so I can buy a truck with a smaller battery that covers longer distance faster. Gimme 280 EPA range with a 100kWh battery that will take in 250kW avg charge rate from 10-80%.

I think they should have added a 3.5mm AUX port but I also have no need for it. :) It does strike me as something that enough people might need that it would be worth having.
Sure, but you need to start doing runs to understand how many you actually need. There will always only be so much you can do to control the variables unless you have funding to run the testing. It's meant to be a real world test, as well. If you need precise control of variables to see a...
Yes, the trailing edge of the tailgate also has a fairly prominent lip, maybe 1/2" high? If I need to log a guess, the tonneau won't make a difference. Though, I also wouldn't be surprised if it has a negative impact.
Picked up and installed the Ford branded rolling aluminum bed cover (mfg by Rev). Bed covers have come a long, long way since the last time I had a pickup truck. This thing is nice!
My truck got 3.1 mi/kwh on the way back from the dealer after getting my tonneau! It wasn't installed, of course. The mere *presence* of the tonneau improved its efficiency!
Same here, I've seen up to 175kW on the display on a 350kw station, most 150kW stations max at 130kw although I did have *one* 150kW station pull up to 155kW. I've plugged into about 15-20 different DCFC at this point. Maybe ten 150kw stations, all EA.
Tom is really taking his time on that...
Yeah, that's definitely a problem. That's the kind of stuff that I would miss until much later. Heck, took me almost a month to recognize that a major trim piece was the wrong color. ?‍♂️
This has me wondering what exactly their quality procedure is for this step in the process. It seems clear it's some type of visual inspection booth but why wouldn't you pick up something that's literally the wrong color?
