The Bluetooth change is from a firmware update of the FCSP a couple months ago, not the 10.3 software. I did not have to redo mine in 10.3 but mine was already set to FordChargeStaionPro1 from when I reset it back in March/April.
That being said I think there is something in this update...
I purchased the equipment through Sunrgy which is local for me. I was able to pick it up with the truck. Let me know if you need a specific contact for them.
I would turn the truck on for like 6 hours to let it charge the LVB battery. I assume you got the sensor recall done already long ago? The truck only charges the LVB when it is on, or is actively charging the HVB.
i had good success on the past just leaving it on for hours and hours with the...
Before resetting everything, I would verify that the app is actually getting proper updates from the truck (or that the truck is updating the cloud server properly). I would turn the truck on, and make sure the appropriate icons (usually wifi symbol and up/down arrow symbol) are on then just...
The main issue is that this is a hybrid battery/solar inverter and associated automatic transfer switch. There is no option for a switching neutral transfer. They are always going to be using the home's bonded neutral. The generator is feeding the transfer switch and battery inverter and...
I did mine as shown in the marked up picture. I simply removed the ground wire jumper (circled in yellow) from the socket. I still left the other jumper that connects the front plate to the box. I then connected the home ground to the box ground (marked in green with arrow).
This allows the...
I think on the Reliance PB50, the ground it on the outside shell of the connector rather than a pin. You can see it in the picture. I would check that the cable has that ground connection (which I am sure it does if it trips).
I still maintain that it is likely that the ground wire shown in...
Not sure where you are getting that price from. It is not cheap, but it is way less than that amount.
$6300 would get you all of the PointGuard components + V2X module. That would get you a whole home backup system. The PG load hub is like having a 6 port SPAN panel as well as the 200A auto...
The PointGuard components were just shy of $10k most of which is the batteries. The backup panel, extra breakers, generator inlet components and wire/conduit added about $1k more.
It was DIY so no labor cost.
I will get $3k back from the federal tax credit, and am also on a time of use plan...
This is happening because both the truck and house are neutral bonded systems.
I reviewed with my electrician and removed the jumper ground wire from the inlet plug in the Reliance box. The box itself is grounded to the house system, but the inlet plug has no direct ground connection to the...
PointGuard can do exactly what you are asking if you use their V2X module as well. It is a DC (yes that is correct... DC) home charger solution. It can charge your vehicle or be used to pull energy from the truck as desired. You are somewhat limited to the inverters 11.4 kW rating for AC...
Today I had a successful test of using the generator input of my PointGuard Home battery system with the Lightnings Pro Power Onboard (7.2 kW 240V outlet).
For reference I have been testing a couple systems. I have the original Ford / Sunrun HIS (which worked for me), and have switched to the...
The original post is not about all time efficiency or comparing what you get for individual trip efficiency.
The whole point of the post is that the lightning driver display is not capable of displaying a trip efficiency of 2.6 miles/kWh. It will bounce between 2.5 and 2.7 but will never ever...
Some automatic transfer switches have generator inputs now where you can easily add them in to charge your batteries. I believe SolArk, PointGuard, maybe EP Cube and others. It may be possible to add some components to your existing system to make it more robust and functional.
I don't think people realize how much this battery is worth, even just as a stationary home battery. I would be buying a $17k 130 kWh battery in a heartbeat.
If someone can figure out a way to get them out of the car and repackage them where at least they work with the upcoming vehicle to home...
