Indeed, it will be interesting to see if these new Li accessory batteries extend the longevity, I expect that they should. Especially seeing as how they appear to now have a somewhat advanced and programmable BMS on board which can keep it healthy.

Oh, of course, This exact Tesla "12v" (16v nominal actual) lithium battery I would definitely not recommend for anyone to try and use in anything other than the Tesla cars it is supposed to be installed in.
Although... There are other LiFePo4 "12v equivalent" automotive replacement batteries...
A quick few searches: Ford {PHEV,BEV} {,first,production}:
* Ford delivered in 2008 the first flexible-fuel plug-in hybrid SUV to the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE), a Ford Escape Plug-in Hybrid, capable of running on gasoline or E85 History_of_plug-in_hybrids.
* The Ford Fusion Energi was...
I have been using an aftermarket accessory that is using about 3~10watts for the past month, since 20230329. So that should be using 72~240Wh per day... Given that "the lightning has a 35AH battery, so about 420Wh but it catches it at 30% minimum SoC so at most it should let 294Wh get consumed"...
The morning of April 14th about 2AM PST when I got home, I just happened to notice that the "Latest Ford Power-Up" Software update (v4.2.2.2) got applied as I was sitting in my driveway. This is the update that changed the dash screen from the Top-Left Side Truck button with sub-menu: Controls...
That is not the case, unless you know something that invalidates the official "Police Modifier Bulletin"? It's literally right there in the document attached to the first post of this thread (f150-lightning-electrical-system-overview.pdf). And its also apparent from the chart that I quoted...
Thanks to this post and also: f-150-lightning-electrical-system-overview w-12v-battery-power-and-ground-points
I've tapped one 30a constant and one 30a accessory switched in the foot well. So much easier than what I was expecting to need to do which was pull a wire from the 12v battery and...
Thanks for posting this graph. And I also noticed that the Lightning (and Mach-e) keep the 12v battery charged up during long periods of the vehicle being off. AFIKT this is a relatively new behavior as far as cars and other BEVs go. I do not believe that my Leaf nor my Bolt would do this...
Thanks for this! Been looking for a good phone mount, Tried my normal favorite vent mount in my moms truck and it interferes with the steering and stuff, so know that would not work in my Lightning. I have just been propping it up on the forward center console cubby lid.
Is this the upfitter accessory switch and housing that you are looking for? Downside, there is likely not wires run for this so you would need to do that yourself probably. https://www.f150lightningforum.com/forum/threads/oem-overhead-6-accessory-switch-additions.14466/post-303887
Thanks for sharing your first hand experience in your 2019. Ya, I found the oem part interesting because it would be a super clean factory looking install. Haven't decided if/why/what I might want to use it for yet though. I like the idea of keeping the truck mostly stock, for now, but also...
Has anyone seen or tried to upgrade with this OEM Overhead 6 Accessory Switch option? Either on the Lightning or any other standard F150? Here is a link to the part for the 6 accessory switch, but I could not find the housing(s). The overhead housing in my truck does not have the cutout for...
Got my Ford Charge Station Pro EVSE delivered, and a site survey schedules, so thought I would share the whole timeline for that process:
: Took Lightning ER Delivery on December 31st.
:: I visited the SunRun site and provided reservation number and personal information to register to get the...
Try unplugging the 12v for ~10minutes (probably less)... I had trouble activating and tried all available resets and reinstalls in both truck and on the phone. After plugging back in the 12v battery and waiting for it to cold boot up was able to activate the truck with the Ford Pass app without...
Ya... I must have been on something the day I put my order in, cause if I were more sane I would have gone for the XLT trim level, but I didn't think it was on the menu when I ordered. I had it in my head that only the lariat and platinum(?) were being built... Shrugs. Anyway, the lariat comes...
Yup!! Finished my purchase earlier today Dec 31, just in the nick of time to get the old (non >$80k capped) $7500 Federal Credit on my Lariat. Woot woot!
Just got my Ford "complete purchase" email and status changed from shipping to delivered. Have not got a call from my dealer yet.
Hoping for a smooth 2000 mile road trip back home tomorrow so to complete all this on the second to last or last day l of the year. Cutting it close, hope it makes...
