Mine works great. I had an electrician to install it. I also had to upgrade the wire (not cheap) to operate it at the full 80 amps setting. I believe it was worth the upgrade.

You're very fortunate. I called FMC, and they said the feature had been been discontinued because of problems. She referred me to public charging on the app. It works well, but it's so inconvenient.
Also, if you are DC fast charging, always prep the vehicle before charging, by using Google Maps or Apple Maps. I don't recommend using FordPass navigation.
Are you charging at home or DC public charging? I don't get as much range it seems when I DC public charge. Maybe it's to protect the battery. When I charge at home with 90 percent SOC, at the temperatures you mention, it's over a 300 mile estimate.

Yeah, I am thinking about peak times. However, surge charging is a great thing. It will mostly impact people charging from 80 to 100 percent. The Lightning charging drops significantly at 80 percent charge. I normally stop charging at 80 percent.
