I'm trying to get organized and maximize the space in my truck.
I have looked at way too many boxes trying to find the perfect storage solution for the frunk, seat, and bed.
I'm the frunk I would want something that maximizes the space without impacting the usage of the removable/prop-able sub...
Its obviously not a solution to every problem but I was very unhappy with the FordPass App so I've been contributing to the FordPass HomeAssistant integration.
I can tell you that from looking at what is currently enabled
Will not happen because that data is not there. I was hoping to be able...
"...a truck that just happens to be electric"
Exactly how I describe my Lightning, and explain it to people.
Other companies are doing something different, but I feel like over all the years of truck improvement and design - the F-150 doesn't change much for a reason - it works.
Different can...
Those are very nice looking, and a serious competitor to the Retrax one's. However, I think I want to stay away from powered retractable ones. I don't feel like running wires, and for my usage with the truck bed - I have no problem manually opening a cover.
I decided to go with the Leer / a...
Great info.
I hadn't considered the revolver, but after reading many recommendations I ended up having it on my short list of covers I was considering.
Made a pros and cons list for my usage and decided to try out the Leer.
I almost got the DualLiner, it seemed to be exactly what I was looking...
For anyone following, or the comes across this in the future.
I ended up ordering the Leer HF650M.
It seems to check nearly every item off my list of things I was looking for.
Hard Cover
Access to full bed if needed
Doesn't rest on the window/truck
Doesn't block the third brake light/camera...
Thanks for the info. I was looking into the Paragon but I keep circling back to the Retrax.
I'm also thinking I don't want the Pro model, maybe the RetraxOne but I'm not sure.
I'm also leaning towards a BedRug also because that will work with my usage.
I keep flopping between BedRug and Leer or...
That is awesome! If you do that you will need to share photos. I'm trying to think of fun things to do for Christmas next this year.
I am back to square 1 on my search because now I'm considering just saving some money and going cheaper, which gives me more money for other fun things lol
All valid points. The Gator one doesn't fully fold up though, looks like its only compact for 1/3rd.
Time to look at other options again today after work lol
I think I am for sure getting the Leer. Thanks for the suggestion on the Gator though.
For the Liner, I was planning on going with Husky Liners - because I have their floor mats and I LOVE them. I currently have no bed liner, so I like the option of a rubber mat to throw down. Not sure if the...
Do you know if its compatible with a DualLiner? I'm considering getting one of those.
I like the "beat it up" but "soft" nature of a drop in liner, but the rubber mat also appeals to me.
I looked into the Diamondback and the Renegade. For my usage those are overkill.
Considering this will be my first Tonneau cover, and for my usage of the truck bed I think I'm going to go with the Leer HF650M. It seems to check almost every box I can think of, and be affordable.
If I'm unhappy...
I think I've pretty much decided on this one.
As long as you are "happy" with it an no buyers remorse / "wish you would have gotten something different" I think I'm going to be getting this one, if they will let me buy it lol
Pics never hurt lol
Do you have the Leer HF650M on a Lightning?
Almost every website I've been to lists the Leer as "This product is not available for your vehicle"
Edit: Woah, that was a while ago. Found this by searching to look for photos
I also normally used that lower storage in the Frunk for the charger, but it would only fit 1 charger.
I have the aftermarket variable amperage charger because I don't want to pop breakers (very very stupid oversight on Fords part in my opinion - no way to do this with charger or truck).
I...
I have been searching for the right Tonneau cover for about a year now, I know I want to go hard cover.
I have had a Tyger Tri-Fold since 2016. It was on my previous F-150 and now its on my lightning.
It was $200 and its been....fine
Now, I am looking for a nicer one for the Lightning...
I wanted a way to store, and protect my aftermarket charger, extension cord, and adapter.
I'm trying to stay organized so I decided to have a dedicated, durable, waterproof box I can store easily, but also grab and go if I'm going on a trip.
Repurposed a Milwaukee Packout Large Tool Box
After...
