The update files are fully download from the internet to the APIM or GWM before starting the update process - the update files are not live streamed from the internet to the modules. That would be way too risky for corruption. Same as on your iPhone and most tech devices - the files download...
You are kidding right? Have a look at the Rivian forum and see the mess of problems their vehicles have... and persistent problems that have not been resolved now for years. Repeat failures, design flaws, basic service items that require repeat visits, service damaging vehicles and playing...
As per usual @TaxmanHog is correct - I thought the little rectangle hole to the right of the bolt was a release like in ICE vehicles.
@BSEE SPARKY Ignore what I said - There is no manual release.
Use the key that comes out of the fob - press the springy button on the bottom of the fob and pull the key out. That is the valet key to lock the glove box and armrest (you then give the fob bit to the valet and keep the metal key part. The metal key part also works on the drivers door lock in...
Updates are pushed to specific VINs which is controlled by Ford. It's not like an iPhone or pdate where they just post the files and the vehicles download at their discretion. Unfortunately you'll just have to wait until Ford pushes the update for your VIN.
The check for a available updates...
Not Completed does not mean itās still downloading. If it were still downloading it would show the status of Downloading with a progress bar.
Not completed means either the downloaded file was corrupted or the ford system cancelled the update for your vehicle for some reason.
There is no way...
Thanks Taxman - I think you answered this previously as well but wanted to double check since it's been while. I will continue to wait :)
Always appreciate your inputs
Window speed is different because the front and rear windows have different regulators/motors. The front ones are smarter and have the two stage buttons for auto up or down. The rear ones have the less expensive simpler on/off manual motor/regulators.
The Platinum trucks have the fancier motors...
I have a ā22 and am part of the beta test group. Iāve not received BC 1.4 yet
In FordPass I show Iām eligible for the parking front sensor CSP but I have not had it done.
Iām hoping to skip a trip to door-ding alley aka. the dealership. And since the BC 1.4 update supersedes the parking sensor...
Several have said, estimated range is not an indicator of battery health. Itās guessing your range based on recent driving history, temperature accessory usage and so on. Best to ignore it and just use state of charge like a gas gauge in an ice car.
To determine your actual battery, stay of...
Ok so guessing. Thanks for clarifying.
Due respect, others with established credibility and deep knowledge in the updates have stated otherwise.
Time will tell. Thanks for sharing your guess though.
My emporia charger would cause the truck to give a charging error. I noticed the cable was loose at the handle (it would twist a bit). I shut off the charger at the breaker and took the handle apart. Found a loose small wire connection on the locking clip sensor. I crimped it properly and heat...
These are not total system software versions. They are update numbers. Each update is for a specific module in the truck.
10.1.1 updated the gateway module which controls interconnects to other modules on the truck. It has zero to do with charging or the hv battery.
10.3.0 updates the...
I bought an EV because I wanted an EV and that works for our family. What the government does or doesnāt do seldom factors into my decisions. I never have faith in the government executing on promises made by politicians. As such I donāt make large life or financial decisions based on that...
Nothing to fix. Typically this means the file downloaded and the checksum determined the module was already updated. Or in some instances the file download was corrupted.
There is no way to force it. You have to wait for Ford to push the update again or of the update is not needed on your...
