Talk to them on the phone so there is no record and say no problem. Then when you are invited to order call ford to change dealers. You’ll still get to order at that time and have it moved to a non sleazy dealer.
Their pricing on the online order system is set I believe. But they can change the ADM they charge at will. It might cause problems with ford and allocations if it got bad enough, but I don’t think there is anything in place to stop it.
Man y’all slow, I had one in the first 10 seconds! Gonna be a lot of people who “can’t believe” that anyone could be ahead of them in their state because they reserved inside the first ten minutes of the showcase ?.
Not to mention the free advertising of having many people know at a glance that it is a brand new Lightning they see. It should only have a limited color palette imo. Especially 2022s.
It was probably a mistake. I ordered 1/6 as soon as it opened and I’m not scheduled yet. That sounds like the time frame for the dealer demos and you were tagged as such and then they fixed it.
I think they will but it probably won’t be next year. Probably 2024. They already have the year stacked up as far as reservations. No real need to add it yet and it will save the ERs for the more expensive trims.
Or they sell out of XLT on the next wave and you’re SOL since it wasn’t accepted. There is absolutely no reason they can’t log in and do it. Took my dealer 2 minutes maybe.
I asked my salesman to amend my order the day after I submitted and he accepted it. Very easy. Sent me the new build sheet is text and it updated online very quickly.
