Good to see. I didn’t understand the initial rollout logic myself and the huge upfront costs for dealers. Then again, I still wish Ford sold their EVs direct like Tesla but I know that’s a pipe dream.
I recall reading they froze production last month, but I wasn’t sure if the Lightning assembly line was still shut down or not. Just curious if anyone knows any info.
My personal take on this (after reading all the docs on the recall) is that the old adapter is fine for use and I am keeping it as a backup in the truck. To each their own, follow your own judgement.
I’m still too nervous to FDRS things on my truck but good to hear the noticeable difference with stopped traffic. My biggest BC complaint is how my truck plows 65mph towards cars stopped on the highway in the distance and then brakes when it is almost too late.
The pickup truck crowd is probably the most difficult to convince to go EV. But it’s mainly because of all the intentional misinformation being spread about EVs. It’s intended to divide us against each other and it’s being pushed by lobbyists from the oil and gas industry, auto mechanics groups...
Thinking selfishly for a moment, I’m unsure if this news means my Lightning will be worth less money or more money after Jan 1 2025. Thinking bigger, I really hope Ford doesn’t discontinue the Lightning entirely. If they had trouble selling these WITH the tax credits then I’m not sure how this...
Got it. I am admittedly a total novice when it comes to towing anything substantial, so when I saw he was towing 11k pounds with just a ball hitch and 1k pounds on the receiver I was surprised it was fine. I have the max tow Lightning so in theory it can carry 10k/1k due to the extra battery...
I realize this is an older thread here but I just came across this because I bought a weigh safe drop hitch today. In doing so, I can across this JerryRig video of him pulling an 11,000lb trailer with the Lightning and WITHOUT a weight distribution hitch. Instead he balanced the trailer using...
I’m going to be going from a 275/60/20 to a 275/70/18 for winter and the difference in circumference is like 12mm bigger so I’m not sure if I need to change anything? I think it would make my speedometer like 0.5mph off. But unsure if I’ll bother with forscan or not.
