When you tried to DC charge did you hear the charge port on the truck lock the DC charge handle in place? Just grasping at straws but without that lock it won’t charge. As to why it might not lock, I can’t say but it’d be a clue to troubleshoot with. Dealership should be able to run diagnostics...
There’s been a lot of funding cuts for EV charging infrastructure in the US even for things already approved. I wonder if those got caught up in that mess.
The instances I’ve seen on here were blowouts of the motor casing but not sure I’ve seen a gasket like leak here before. https://www.f150lightningforum.com/forum/threads/rear-motor-death-by-exsanguination.19359/
This is interesting because 1. The F150 Lightning is eligible and 2. It means there is actually bi-directional charging equipment available that is NOT the home integration system that Ford/Sunrun offers...
Tip number 1: THOROUGHLY check your truck top to bottom BEFORE you drive it off the lot. Check the roof for transport scratches, make sure there are no weird dashboard pop ups, examine the entire body.
Reviving and older thread here but does anyone know what other racks will fit on the T slots of the X4TS besides the “Elevate Rack” ? Im trying to find various things like cross bars or ladder racks that extend over the cab like Thule but I don’t know what’s compatible with that T slot.
Yeah in my experience the phone has to be really close to the door handle so a back pocket won’t work. Also make sure you don’t have any other Bluetooth things inside the truck. I have an AirTag on my wallet and I once left that in the area of the phone charger and it caused PAAK to not work...
I still don’t understand why such a massive amount of equipment is needed to do Vehicle to Home power through the CCS charge port. But I’m not an engineer nor an electrician.
Yeah I was a little disappointed it is already at 97% as well. My truck has about 12k miles on it. I live in a cold environment in MA so I don’t know if that has anything to do with it.
I have my CSP fix for the front sensors scheduled on Monday. How do I gently tell the service department to hook up the 12v to a battery tender without sounding like one of those a-hole customers who thinks they know better than the trained technicians? ?
I’d wager that Ford is going to go the EREV route like this when (if ?) they do a F150 Lightning refresh in 2028. They’ll then offer the fully BEV version of a pickup with a smaller, ranger sized truck.
Anyone see anything on these screens I should be worried about? I’m still learning what all these metrics are. It seems ok to me but thought I’d consult some experts on here.
