Had some evidence of mice in the bed on mine, but no evidence they were in the cab or font trunk at all. I've got bait traps in my garage now, hopefully I won't see them again.
Don't get me wrong here... I'm in 100% agreement on this. It is just I think it is something that could be done, it isn't some impossible feat. The question is should/will the effort be made? No, heck no. Not worth it.
I'm saying it's 100% possible, not saying it'd be easy. These are two different things, I think the key here is that they won't do it, and we agree on that.
You don't have a screen protector on it do you? That's the only thing I could think of. If it were my truck I'd try a factory reset or unplug the 12v for a bit, or both.
I don't think personal attacks like this are needed here.
Tesla manufactures cars every day that work with that old standard. If they wanted to implement or allow their older comms on other manufacturers products, they absolutely could. I'm sure it's complex, but that's not the point.
Again...
Yeah I don't think anyone read the first post. There's no technical reason that a native nacs port on a future non-tesla wouldn't be able to support all the old superchargers. It just depends on if tesla wants to allow that older proprietary communications protocol to be included on those cars.
Something weird that I have seen is remote start is an entirely different profile in my truck. Whoever THAT guy is likes things very different than me. After I remote start I have to be sure to press my memory button. Could be the same thing happening, and the default on that profile is 100%.
It's weird because I had a breeze buying my model 3 and my solar from them, and when I had issues with my car, they weren't great but they weren't terrible either. Gotta be honest I kinda wish the dealers and Ford were the same company like Tesla does things. You never really know what you're...
Any tips on how to get them to do the mobile service on it instead of bring-it-in service? I try to click through the process online and it never works. Tried multiple dealers around me too. I am a millennial so I obviously can't call.
I was on same version as you, and I went on apk mirror and forced the latest (october 10th version) onto my phone. I just went down to my truck, which is on what I believe is the latest update with the updated icons on the top, and I do not see anything ev related in my attempts to route to...
If that's the installed cost, it is surprisingly cost competitive with tesla for the kWh, especially when factoring in the vehicle integration in addition.
I've got a 22, I have been lazy about the BMS CSP, mostly because I have never had any issues at all. I've got the latest OTA with the new icons and such... I might just take it in for inspection and some tires and tell them not to do anything else.
Same, I did try to pull some various fuses to fix my modem once, but I think it ended up being a system wide outage and not just me. I think it's such a simple thing to keep a wrench handy incase.
I still have to get the bms thing replaced. Been lazy on that one.
Thanks for the tip, I know lots of random issues can be fixed by a 12v power cycle, but I hadn't really thought about *how* I would disconnect the battery if issues popped up. I checked my gear I keep behind the seat, and there was indeed a 10mm thin as paper chinesium wrench that came with my...
Wish I could disable FM too. Half the time I try to get a not-garbage source of audio working, it switches to FM by default, which has no antenna on my truck, so it's just static.
100% agree on this. If I was charging at 48amps while I wait in line, I might end up being ok to leave. ~10kw charging will get me like, 20 miles in an hour. If my original estimate when I roll into say, Bedford PA, was saying I'd get home with -5%, then grabbing a bite at sheetz instead of...
