  1. Show us your copilot.

I'd show a picture of my wife but she falls asleep on the job 100%
  2. Charging in the Delmarva (DE, MD & VA) Peninsula

I went last year to Rehoboth, from Pittsburgh. Luckily for me my VRBO host was OK with me charging. I only did twice. Once so I could take us and the in-laws to Ocean city for a day and once again for the way back home. The only CCS chargers are 50kw ones at some dealers in the area...
  3. Update: F-150 Lightning Fast Charging Tesla Adapters Start Shipping TODAY Per Ford!

The remnants of Beryl just rained all over them and they were ruined. So, they will have to reorder another 20,000.
  4. Electrify America to only allow charging to 85%

yep, they aren't gonna do this in places where the next charger is one a lot of cars won't make it to if they can't get 90%
  5. Failed (OTA) Update bricked my 2023 F150L

I keep auto updates off. If I see this specific one I might drive to the local dealer and do it there. Beats needing towed there, and maybe I can convince someone to look at it right away.
  6. Cell Level Testing of the SK805A (Lightning Cell)

I charge to what I need. I don't worry about any of this. Until there are more shops out there that can do battery rebuilds and replacements, it isn't wise to keep any EV past its battery warranty. Some day, I'm pretty confident, swapping out EV batteries in old project cars will be as common...
  7. Love the Rad Straps

for knockoffs of the original post, sure. $150 if you are ok with pink https://radtruckstraps.com/collections/all
  8. 1200 Miles w/ Ford NACS Adapter - Trip Experience Summary

Exactly my thoughts. Pricing above 85% should start increasing as you go higher and higher, but only if the stalls are all full. If no one is there and you want some insurance %'s into the 90's then it's no problem. The issue I've seen is people who do it are on free sessions, either due to...
  9. 1200 Miles w/ Ford NACS Adapter - Trip Experience Summary

I'm a karen about this in my own head, or I complain to my wife about people I see charging to 100%... (there's always a chance of one car doing it at every stop) but I agree why IS there an obvious indicator to everyone else at EA? As a former tesla driver it has always bothered me. It...
  10. Love the Rad Straps

I like the idea of this, but $150 is a lot when a pack of normal straps is like $20 tops. I paid $10 for the 2-pack I have used a bunch of times.
  11. They have landed

I'd rather do jurassic park livery if I had a CT, I'm a star trek fan but that is pretty lame.
  12. Connecting SOLIS Solar Tonneau Cover to Main Battery

Everyone should keep in mind, real-life non-NASA stuff doesn't actually have a ROI requirement either. If someone sees value in a solar cover or tonneau, then maybe it makes sense for them. I bet we see some van life types use these.
  13. Connecting SOLIS Solar Tonneau Cover to Main Battery

I think in the book he also had the RTG adding a bit of power also... but in addition, the vehicle would weigh less, and be able to go further on a charge that was acquired by the panels. As for the youtuber, it wasn't supposed to be practical, just like the solar canopy at the heart of this...
  14. Update: F-150 Lightning Fast Charging Tesla Adapters Start Shipping TODAY Per Ford!

Throughout the summer, as each trip passes, I switch to the next with the statement "surely at least by THAT trip we will have our adapter"
  15. Nest/Cabin Smell

I second the kool-it recommendation. Used it once in my model 3 and it lasted until I traded it in. Another thing is, unrelated to the critter issues, for general use, it's a good idea to toggle off the AC when you get close to home or your destination. That way it can normalize the coils'...
  16. 3D Printing Fun

Just FYI, don't let people scare you into printing things in petg or nylon or abs... PLA is what I used in my cover for the window buttons, and it's outside in the sun for Thursday, Friday, and today in this insane heat here in the northeast. It's holding up just fine.
