  1. Ford Kills Development of FNV4 (fully-networked vehicle

The module manufactures have no care nor concern for the advancement of the architectures, because that would leave them in the cold. They have no concern of how Ford can't easily provide updates and enhanced features because they are the problem. They are doing one thing and only one thing...
  2. 8 speaker B&O sucks

In today's world there is no excuse for an $80K truck to have such a bad sounding stereo. The Tesla stock stereo will blow about 95% people away. And they do it with no names and either build it all themselves or have a 3rd party, but I don't think to date anyone has been able to peg who...
  3. 8 speaker B&O sucks

Next to the software it is the weakest part of the truck for $80K. It's truly abysmal. Ford loves selling their soul for a brand on the speaker grille. It truly notes to me I never need anything with B&O on the name although I know they used to have some cool stuff.
  4. Pro Power Ground Fault

If you are referring to feeding the panel through a generator plug and an interlock on the main breaker, yes you will encounter the ground issue. If you are hiring a licensed and or master electrician let him tell you what is safe and what he will and won't do. Then let us know.
  5. Got a dealer PPI today. Modules need updates?

One thing to keep in mind as you look. I would guess there are some good used deals out there, but you noted your driving and the short amount of time to charge. Only the '22's and '23's can use the 80 amp charger. The second on board charger was removed in '24. The charging max is 48...
  6. Got a dealer PPI today. Modules need updates?

I guess they didn't care to clean that truck up or use stock photos. For that price is that an SR?
  7. Starlink Mini, Does it FIT under the sunroof privacy shade?

I would say this might be true for a Tesla roof or a new Lexus Opaque roof (changes with the push of a button) but Ford sunroofs and those on our trucks haven't blocked anything in years. Ford has seriously spent little to nothing to make these sunroofs prevent anything from coming through.
  8. F150 Lightning FORScan thread - Version 2

And from your friendly ChatGPT - the TL: DR is a special wiring harness and special BCM software are required. That doesn't mean you can't side load it if you can get your hands on it. That would likely require @Jesse-Infotainment to have access. From ChatGPT The Ford Police Interceptor...
  9. F150 Lightning FORScan thread - Version 2

You want me to put to put my you know what on the line to gain access to a Ford police car for a member of the 7/11 squad? That was a rough bunch. I don't know about that. I think it's going to take at lest 2 packs of cigarettes.
  10. Real-World Home Power Backup Options Using F-150 Lightning

That is good to know. I may reach out to them. I knew they had a new single product to support all size units. I have the older style that is sized to the AC tonnage you have. I didn’t know the new units were also more efficient at startup. I’d love to be a guinea pig for them or see if...
  11. Walmart EV Charging Network to Blanket US. First Charge Experience & Review

This may not be popular but it’s time to move on supporting the Chademo and Bolt if we want these stations to promote future EV growth and long distance travel.
  12. Real-World Home Power Backup Options Using F-150 Lightning

Congrats. Love the MicroAir, but my 5 ton unit is just not efficient enough. It's 10 years old, 17 SEER American Standard. It pulls too much for the truck. I can run everything else in the house though. Clothes dryer, Oven, Pool Pump, Central Heat. But no AC.
  13. Lightning Software Updates using FDRS

Thanks for this update. Profiles started off pretty cool and were easy to set up. They seems to have gone down hill since early on.
  14. Black plastic fading- options to bring back to life?

I bought this, but have not used it yet, it sounds impressive. The company has one product and the back story is interesting. The cowling across the hood right in front of the windshield is what I want to use it on. That part turns grey. I need to get this back on my project list for...
  15. Alexa voice commands from inside house + FordPass commands integration

I was very excited to see them pick up the pieces and get updated products for sale. The newest switches are some of the best. For my hub I've always used Universal Devices. I've got an Eisy now, this is my third product from them as they've evolved and upgraded.
  16. Lightning Software Updates using FDRS

You may be the winner for deals. Other have looked and looked for older model trucks sitting on lots, interesting how this one had been missed, maybe because it is an SR, but many of those have sold. Congrats and welcome to the club. At least you know up front what you are into with the SW.
  17. Lightning Software Updates using FDRS

Welcome to the dark side. So this was a new truck that had been sitting for 1.5 to 2 years? It hadn't been activated as a loaner or demo? You may have personal reasons, but if you don't mind go ahead and tell us how much they lost on that truck for sitting that long. It just makes more of...
  18. Ford Early Access Program sign up site down for anyone else?

At least we know Ford treats all of their technology the same way :) Trucks - websites, doesn't matter.
  19. Ford Early Access Program sign up site down for anyone else?

Interestingly I just got a general survey from them yesterday about the program. I wonder if changes are coming?
  20. Lots of dust in 12V battery area

All of the modules boot up from scratch. Clears errors or any that might be hung up. It happens and disconnecting the 12v battery can fix a ton of errors with these trucks. You'll see more and more as you read through different threads.
