Correct - and most dealers won't do it if you just ask for the BCM update. It is part of the TSB for stereo/Car Play updates though and they can't (shouldn't) deny the request to do that work. Ford will pay them for it.
@TaxmanHog - I've forgotten what you reported, have you done the CSP for front sensors yet? I have not and don't have BC 1.4.
I have had some very generous offers to help update the truck or loan me equipment to do so. I need to get it to the dealer first for the BCM update, which I...
It is rare, but there are a few Tesla chargers inside paid parking garages or lots. You pay if you want in to them. They are rare, but I guess Tesla did what they had to years ago to get them installed.
Best of luck, hoping it supports your needs. I'm just scratching my head how you go from one of the best chargers to one that is absolutlely unknown thinking this is an upgrade. @RickLightning noted the likely culprit which was your adapter.
Heat is a thing when charging - do you have a...
I missed the column shifter from the Tesla 3/Y However they have now done away with even that completely. Swipe up or down on the screen. I know …….. that is gong to go too far for most.
Once again though it saves a ton on engineering, assembly, final vehicle production costs and long term...
Was the kit too much? Maybe you need to check this thread out - https://www.f150lightningforum.com/forum/threads/eibach-2-1-level-275-65r20-tires-fuel-rebar-20-wheels.26505/post-505597
Great looking truck. Nice job all the way around. I'm still partial to my Antimatter Blue, but that was a close color choice and the matte really makes it. Great set up - nice tires and wheel combo.
Did you do an alignment after moving up to those shocks?
I get intermittent results, but I've always blamed the door handles on the truck. My phone works perfectly on a Tesla.
The door handle touch sensitivity concept is a very good one, but truly poor in theory.
Make of it what you want and yeah, it's just a little crazy, but if you just...
I use 1 Pedal exclusively. I don't know or care if it adds more to the range. It therorically should in small amounts, but that is just a side benefit of it in my opinion. 1 Pedal, is just easy and becomes intuitive quickly. Been driving that way for 6 to 7 years.
I'll admit when...
Tesla was traditionally always brakes when using the pedal, just in the last couple of years they've changed that to use regen (a blend of) with the pedal. I don't drive ours enough to know if there is a setting for your selection or if Tesla just changed and you get what they program.
All of the reverse tilt mirrors I've had all you had to do was adjust them while in reverse to where you needed them - tilt them up a bit and they will retain where you set them in reverse.
Ford had tilting mirrors a few years back. Many tried to get them working via Forscan and have never...
12 v disconnect as @RickLightning notes. There are settings that will also prevent your app from getting updates. Double check those setting about connectivity and make sure they are all on after you reconnect your battery.
That is a completely open area under the frunk tub, open to all the elements from below. Dirt and water.. Ford didn't try to seal it. I wouldn't put a high pressure washer up close on any of it, but don't see why light spray or rinsing it down would hurt. Lots of electrical so anything...
This has been in the SW for about 3 years now.
Another feature I like is to put the blinker on for a lane change. It will automatically turn off when you've completed the lane change whether it takes 2 seconds or you're in traffic and it takes 20.
You're living in the wrong age. There is nothing that you can produce that can't be hacked, changed, updated, completely removed. Let the feds go hunt each one down if they so desire.
The dead silence you speak of was already discussed in this thread and is just as easy to do as it would be...
Others can - just no SW update for you and me. This was promised when the '24's came out and the option was added, but no love for the older trucks. Maybe after they get BC 1.4 out they will get all these past releases caught up, but I'm not holding my breath.
We got the SW last week, but rarely drive the Y after dark. It is 2 years old, but definitely has the hardware for the adaptive lighting. Living in the middle of a big city also makes it hard to find a place to even test. I'm not sure if they have the same minimum speed before they kick...
No love for my '22 either. I made a 500 mile trip this past weekend and yesterday. I figured today would have been the perfect time for it to come. I've got to make that trip twice more in the next month, so it will come after those I'm sure.
I tried some voodoo last week by disconnecting...
I don't know about the rest of you all, but the sound for reverse has never been "faint". That one is pretty dang loud. Forward, I agree, it's a very low tone not heard by old ears in the cab, even with a window down
