  1. Priority Update - BCM-24.5.1 - Convenient Frunk Closing

Update - this is indeed an EA release, just got the email. I won't discuss further publicly. All know that it is already out there. Hoping we find no problems and the general public should see it in just about 2 weeks if they follow that protocol.
  2. Priority Update - BCM-24.5.1 - Convenient Frunk Closing

Awww the SW gods smiled on me today. A long awaited elusive BCM. WAL !!!!! I don't care if it changes the Frunk or not :). I'll have to go dig out the Forscan cable. There is no indication this is EA, I don't have the email (yet) that I usually get. I'll update if I do.
  3. New BlueCruise Version 1.4 - Rollout IPMA-24.204.10.9

You are correct for BC 1.4, but that sweet little BCM for Frunk updates just slid in for me.
  4. Ford Kills Development of FNV4 (fully-networked vehicle

The 12v became a standard and its used widely. However if everyone did it exactly the same there would be some missing competition. The market will sort this out. New buyers paying the kind of price we do will demand newer and better technologies and those that can innovate and understand...
  5. Priority Update - BCM-24.5.1 - Convenient Frunk Closing

I'll buy that, but my guess is that 99.5% of people don't know or think about that. They just like that added reassurance because they don't think that first lock really worked. :) Of course, my opinion.
  6. Priority Update - BCM-24.5.1 - Convenient Frunk Closing

Hoping to get the BCM update, I miss WAL. I don't in any way want or need the horn feedback. The mirrors folding are enough for me. I've got recently new neighbors that can't park in their garage because it's full of "stuff". To say the least they like to make sure their cars are locked...
  7. Congress proposes shocking new fee on EVs

Correct on not all states have inspections these days. OK dropped theirs a few years back and TX has dropped it this year other than some counties still require emissions, but nothing else. The kicker is we still pay part of the inspection fee when renewing the tag. Get that craziness...
  8. Congress proposes shocking new fee on EVs

It's just politicians dividing everything we do. If they had you know what's we'd just do away with collecting any tax at the pump and charge every vehicle the same flat fee at registration as they've chosen to do for EV's. Not one of them will ever attempt to do this because they know the...
  9. Ford Kills Development of FNV4 (fully-networked vehicle

This is some crazy news - just for the reasons they note they were doing it. The goal was to cut costs, improve quality and add profitable features in both electric and gasoline-powered vehicles. We know the simplicity and cost advantages this gives Tesla. Take that times the number of autos...
  10. Remote start HVAC control

You are correct that I am only referring to Remote Start. Open the app, click on the "Fan blade" icon.
  11. Remote start HVAC control

Until the controls were added to the app, I never had an issue. For almost 2.5 years if I remote started and it was cold - the truck heated, if it was warm the truck cooled, including seats and steering wheel. Truly it seems the app is overriding the truck default of "Auto" (I've got HVAC...
  12. Remote start HVAC control

So now that we have that level of control in the app, the "Auto" settings in the truck really don't mean anything? The truck Auto would always do the right thing based on the outdoor temperature. From what you note and what I've experienced it seems those really don't mean much now.
  13. CSP 24B56 - Inoperative Front Parking Sensor(s) - IPMA Software Update for Certain 2022-24 F-150 Lightning Trucks

Dang - the pressure is on now. I can't be the last one. I've got to pick a dealer and get it scheduled. Did you ask about the stereo TSB as well so you get the BCM updated?
  14. Remote start HVAC control

Agree - my app will let me override, but for the most part I should never have to look at that if I just hit the start button and the truck should take over. I thought the app just let me override if I wanted. I still expect the truck to do the right thing if no further detailed overrides...
  15. Lightning Software Updates using FDRS

I've upped my game watching, but did forget to click buy last week. An Amazon big store actually had a returned Clore PL6100 for $100 off. I found it and didn't click buy now. It was gone pretty quickly. These things become games to me. I'll find the right sale, or I'll wake up one...
  16. Priority Update - ACM-25.AH.AR: Audio System [EAP]

Seems you're the first. Are you EA? My guess is this is something that may be limited to certain year models. I've got a '22 and have AM, plus I've not heard of any Hardware error messages. I no longer use SiriusXM. For anyone else getting the update, please have your truck info in your...
  17. Lightning Software Updates using FDRS

I keep hearing of the used adapters, but I'm not watching the right places :).
  18. Remote start HVAC control

Yes - it is in the truck and it is set to Auto. It has never failed to work correctly for almost 3 years. I double checked it is set to Auto. For the HVAC setting in the truck I had the temp set on 68 if that would have come into play in any manner.
  19. Test drive new to get an idea on used?

There are no real differences in the year models. If you want a Lightning, drive the used ones just to ensure that nothing is wrong. No need to mess with a dealer. I would never buy used without taking it for a spin and it'll drive just like the new ones. Thousands of us bought...
  20. Lightning Software Updates using FDRS

@Mike G - did you happen to do any more testing with the TopDon adapter? Based on the feedback from the ICE forum it can't update the IPMA. I was going to ask them if they had update the drivers, but figure they had put it through its paces. Thinking I'm going to submit a return on mine to...
