Hoping mine will get there, but overnight it dropped from 72% down into the 50's again and then when I took a drive at lunch it was back up to about 68% and since lunch now down to 63%.
It may just take a few days, but I'm hoping/guessing the monitor that was replaced is able to detect and...
I continued to wake the truck up throughout the day and let the LV SOC update to Fod.com - it stayed at 49 to 50% until at least 5:20 this afternoon. I just checked again and it is now at 72% - so somewhere along the way it triggered another charging cycle. Hoping for another one overnight...
I'm ready to embark getting set up to use the truck for power backup to the house. With no good option for a whole panel neutral switch I'm going with the panel lockout and a generator plug. Two questions I'm looking for some feedback / insight on. A note - my electrical panel is on the wall...
I called my dealer last Tuesday. He could have already had it in stock, I don't know, but he said he would order the part. Either way - they had it in hand and installed it this morning.
I don't think your dealer is shooting straight with you.
Had the sensor replaced this morning by mobile service. Total time under the hood was about 4 minutes. As normal had to close the hood manually and then he checked all of the windows - all operated normally.
I forgot to check my 12v SOC and the part number prior, however the new one is...
How long did it take Farley to admit their charging network was sh*t? They won't acknowledge and fix anything. Likely too many lawyers involved at Ford.
But you are going to help us figure out how to make the truck think it has a trailer without thinking it really has a trailer right? :).
A bit crazy that these cameras can get that angle, but Ford wouldn't make it available to us. Makes me think of Glare Free lights. Approved now in the US...
Not sure if it is the same program, but search PGE and Generlink, you'll find a couple of threads from the last week or two about a meter with a generator plug. Not sure if that is the same program or not.
Huge props for them getting them out where the public can access them. They need some income from them to pay for the install. Definitely need to be accessible.
Thinking way outside the box, but I'm thinking at what point is the truck no longer a Lightning and the speed set no longer matters because it was half dismantled.
Thank you, forgot about that close up picture. Maybe made by Tesco - name on the meter. Per their website they make meter test equipment, so logical they might manufacture it. They don't show the product on their page.
BPTM - Backup Power Transfer Meter. We need them in TX (US) :)...
I'll have to stop out 5 Star here on 190 by me. They'll be the same way though - gates at every entrance are closed on weekends. Bill Utter it just 8 miles up the road from Lewisville, I wonder if they are also on board and installing?
Interesting read. It notes they teamed or partnered with industry experts, but definitely makes it sound like they've created their own device "Waiting on Patents". The article is from '22, and those timelines match Generlinks timelines. Maybe they just agreed to partner and each have their...
I found the local sales rep for the DFW area and called today. She confirmed that Oncor won't allow the devices yet, but other carriers around the area have and there are some installed.
She also noted that Generlink is on record as the device not working with the Lightning. The sales rep was...
Thanks for sharing the idea with @Zaptor - I'm running the very same dash cam and have the rear view camera, but I don't know that I consider that display as something big enough to watch while driving. However, it might be able to be adapted. Great idea.
It's all about permanent magnet motors. It's one thing to have it happen when there are mechanical problems, but to do it for driving efficiencies doesn't happen when both are the permanent magnet. I can't recall the technical details, but it has been laid out a few times.
Due to the the type of motors they can not power off the front motor. It doesn't work like that.
Once you get that reduced power, the rest of the tell-tale signs of a failed battery module is that it won't charge at a fast charger. Give that a try.
