I have never used a wireless charger that doesn't make my phone hot. I'll use them in vehicles for convenience, but I stopped using them at home or at work for that reason.

I traded in my first Lightning back in April after I requested my free adapter in February. It wasn't my plan to trade it in, but it happened. Ford customer service tried to cancel my first order, but they couldn't, they said I'll be getting 2. I can no longer track that first adapter as that...

It is a Lightning not a lighting unless this thread is about a lamp

mine will open on first push if the truck is unlocked and awake. if it is asleep and/or locked it takes two pushes with a tiny pause between the two. of course if the truck is locked i need my phone or fob on me.

It is in the normal range so I am guessing that it is normal.
