  1. Is the F150 Lightning a local commuter (based on real world data)?

It's not the lightnings fault, but I wouldn't have purchased my lightning platinum if I was going to use it on road trips. Probably the main reason I say this is you may pay as much as $.44/kwh or more. You'll probably be driving mainly on interstate roads at 70+/mph so let's say yo average...
  2. Lightning Real World Range -- What's Yours?

I definitely disagree. Proof is indicated on the left side of your dash display. If you don't use your brakes to come to a complete stop that value will indicate 100% regenerative braking. If you use your brake pedal even slightly to come to a complete stop you will see less than 100%...
  3. Lightning Real World Range -- What's Yours?

I'd say that's pretty good range driving an average speed of 80 mph.
  4. Lightning Real World Range -- What's Yours?

All city driving will definitely increase your mileage range. While driving in the city only my range can easily be as good as 3/mpk.
  5. Lightning Real World Range -- What's Yours?

I'm normally driving alone so I set my cabin heat fairly low in the winter and use my heated seats to save energy.
  6. Lightning Real World Range -- What's Yours?

And whenever you come to a stop not using the brake pedal your regenerative braking efficiency will increase.
  7. Lightning Real World Range -- What's Yours?

I believe it does mine. I seldom have to touch the brake because the vehicle uses all the braking more efficiently to put the energy back into your battery. Here's a simple test. Drive as you would normally without one pedal driving, coming up to a stop sign. Once you come to a complete stop...
  8. Lightning Real World Range -- What's Yours?

That sounds very close to my platinum. On 55 mph roads, if I drop my speed to just 50 I can get 2.4-2.5/mpk instead of 2.3/mpk.
  9. Lightning Real World Range -- What's Yours?

You must drive all city to get that kind of range with your platinum. I'm lucky to stay a 2/mpk at 70mph, 2.3/mpk at 55 and if I drove all city, I might be able to achieve the 2.82/mpk you're showing here. I only charge my platinum to 85% which should be about 110 kwh with my ER and it has...
  10. Damn Tesla Cybertruck will have 1000-Volt architecture and V4 supercharging speed

I don't believe my 80 amp charger will damage my battery. It's the 150 amp DC chargers I'm referencing. Using hone chargers utilize the on-board chargers located in the lightning where the DC fast chargers don't use those on-board chargers, instead charge using those two large pins under the...
  11. Damn Tesla Cybertruck will have 1000-Volt architecture and V4 supercharging speed

Maybe so, except for the looks. It makes me wonder what kind of people would want a truck that looks like it came from a star wars set. I love the fact that ford kept my lightning looking like a truck. Even better looking like an F150. Anyone that purchases the cybertruck are looking for...
  12. Damn Tesla Cybertruck will have 1000-Volt architecture and V4 supercharging speed

Apparently you don't realize, the faster you charge any battery decreases its life. I charge my lightning at home on my 80 amp pro charger, never use fast charger. I'd like my battery to last past the 8 yr warranty.
  13. Damn Tesla Cybertruck will have 1000-Volt architecture and V4 supercharging speed

I don't care what they sell the cybertruck for. I love the look of my platinum and absolutely hate the looks of the cybertruck. Buyers if that truck will soon grow tired of all the spectators, unless of course that's why they're buying one, which may be the reason for a lot of people. They...
  14. Damn Tesla Cybertruck will have 1000-Volt architecture and V4 supercharging speed

I'm surprised more people don't realize that the faster you charge a lithium battery the shorter its life span. Actually this is the case with any rechargeable Battery. I only charge my lightning to 85% on the average and there's no doubt my battery will last much longer than those being...
  15. First Cybertruck trim priced from US$75,000 as Tesla preps for delivery to select few at launch event.

State fam tried to raise mine to $1000/6 months. I went to progressive and got the same insurance for less than $700.
  16. First Cybertruck trim priced from US$75,000 as Tesla preps for delivery to select few at launch event.

I doubt tesla will be able to hold these prices low. Ford under priced the lightning initially and had to raise the prices of all their trims. Tesla will probably do tge same.
  17. Ford Expands BlueCruise Availability with Complimentary Trial, Monthly Or Annual Activation

I got 3 yr blue cruise included with my MSRP price. Since I only use my lightning locally I don't find it that useful. Definitely won't be renewing at any price when my 3 years are up.
  18. TESLA ADAPTER FOR CHARGING YOUR LIGHTNING

The problem is tesla are charging J1772 users a higher kwh costs than a tesla pays. I've always thought public charging fees were ridiculously high already and why I only charge at home & use locally only.
  19. Ford Power-Up 4.2.4 Modem Connection Issues

I used to get not completed so contacted ford and they told me to charge to 85% instead of 80% and that that solved the problem. It seems the 12volt battery doesn't get a sufficient charge when main is just charged to 80%.
  20. Tesla Supercharger Membership Launched @ $12.99 / month. First video of Lightning charging at Supercharger CCS Magic Dock

It's not just the higher price on top of the monthly fee, have you see how low of charging speed? Less than a 50 kwh public charger.
