Why the disassembly?

I have the one with the lightning bolts running thru it. Doesn't look as good now and I'm thinking about changing to a solid black one. Too bad you're not in WA you cold have mine! Beware there are some cheap ones that are just a decal and not a raised plastic letter.

Does your controller keep the gain setting after you disconnect. Mine (2022 Lariat, tow package) seems to forget I set it to 5 last tow. I seem to have to reset every trailer reconnection.

Does this also have freezer capability? Amazon descriptions are confusing. One part says freezerless capacity.

I hate subscription models of all types. I don't do it for Tesla and don't intend to do it for my Lightning. I just live with whatever comes free. I understand they all want a piece of the subscription action. I didn't see that Ford will offer a month to month option.

Very curious about the “decent size hole” thing. That doesn’t sound like a casting failure crack. I wouldn’t think a rock thrown up from road debris would have enough force to put a hole in a motor housing. Oh yea I had to look up exsanguination! Thanks!
