I've been using my Canopy for about a month now. It's a good system but it has real trouble keeping the battery powered. One day last week I had to pull the battery and connect it to the wall charger. Leaving the truck sitting and turned "on" doesn't seem to charge it.
Friday I drove over 3...
You mean you want release notes that actually say what the OTA does?
Yes, this one gives older Lightning owners Walk-Away Locks. However, it doesn't give us the controls to enable/disable this feature or to turn the Audible Feedback off/on. That will probably require a future Sync system update.
No surprise that you got 1.4 mpk at 45 mph. It's all about the aerodynamic drag.
I love the idea of a charger at a brewery! I'd definitely plan a stop there.
Actually, Ford did send out some Level 1/2 chargers to some of the earliest Lightning deliveries. However, it was a J-1772 to Tesla adapter so Lightnings could charge dead Teslas by the side of the road. Farley was trolling Tesla on that one.
I wouldn't trust my truck to a knockoff adapter.
I have a TeslaTap 80A (my 2022 ER Lariat has the 80A DCFC capability). A2Z and Lectron are fine, too if you either make sure to get the 80A in a truck with 80A charging or get the 50A for other trucks...
It depends on the trailer. Many trailers have bumpers that are not designed for loads such as bikes (especially eBikes). Our trailer has a warning sticker that attaching any non-factory accessory to the bumper voids the frame warranty.
That said, I installed some bumper reinforcements and...
Sure. That’ll work just fine but losses will be high. You can also just get a J-1772 extension cord and fennel the female so it fits on the CCS-1 on the FCSP.
The OTA fixed something that wasn't broken in my truck and broke something that worked. I no longer can monitor charging of my Lightning in the FordPass app. It's not the app. I tried restarting the app and the phone. Besides, I can still monitor charging in my Mustang Mach E. I can still...
That charger will be really slow. It's only a 16A unit. I encourage you to get a 30-40A charger instead. They come with the NEMA 14-50 that is standard at campgrounds, etc.
I recommend this one:

Dealerships were demanding $5,000 and up as dealer mark-ups when I bought my Lightning in June 2022. It was a widespread problem.
Fortunately, Koons Ford Silver Spring charged me the same $495 dealer service fee they tack on every sale. They even gave me a surprisingly good trade-in for my Taco...
