I can't say with certainty but I bet any F150 rotor would fit. That's where I would start my research if I were interested in aftermarket rotors.
Edit: just looked it up. F150 and Lightning rotors are the same part number.
Is there another dealership nearby?
My experience with service writers is they don't know shiii...as much as the techs. I've had pretty good luck when I'm actually allowed to speak with the folks who work on cars.
Do you frequently carry weight in the bed of the truck?
Do you brake with your left foot?
My thoughts above assume the answer to these questions is "no."
Bullshit. Even on a vehicle with 50/50 weight distribution, weight is shifted to the forward wheels when braking. Front brakes do most braking on every vehicle configuration I can think of.
The forward brakes are isolated from the rear brakes by means of separate hydraulic reservoirs in the...
I agree with this 100%!
What makes me think it won't run like A/Z/X is that you have to have a relationship with Ford prior to making the deal and that's a big part of what makes it work. When you show up with your plan code the dealership doesn't have many ways to upsell you (they can still...
I was writing this question when I noticed that someone had replied.?
Assuming the switch is wired correctly, which I'm inclined to believe. I'm thinking a hot on the main panel is touching ground somewhere. That's the only path from main breaker to the truck.
The truck will fault when neutral touches ground. So neutral is touching ground when it faults. I can't say why neutral is touching ground in your case but I can ask questions of which the answers might give us some clues.
Exactly what steps are you taking when the trip occurs? Power goes out...
My utility company upgraded the infrastructure in my area shortly after I installed my switch. I got to use it once a week or two after installation. It's not fair the power goes out everywhere else!?
If your setup is anything like mine, you have a bunch of lights that aren't in the switch panel. When you notice those lights turn back on you can flip the switch panel back to utility and be on your way.
To answer your question more directly; you are correct. The green light turns on when a...
I don't think this is correct. I believe the message has to do with Cross Traffic Alert being disabled. Similar message and maybe the same effect. My memory might be off too.
My tailgate struggles to go up under ideal conditions. My guess is the gate would give up and open back up before any damage is done. However, I'm not willing to test this hypothesis.
Try a Sync reset and check the coolant level. To do a Sync reset hold volume down and skip ahead on the steering wheel until the Sync screen resets. Sync resets solve a lot of weird glitches.
If the coolant is low you'll have heating issues.
Seems like the market at work to me. They can charge what they want, you can do business with them or not.?
What's your time worth? I'd be willing to pay a bit more to avoid a 60 mile round trip. You didn't tell us the cheaper price you were quoted.
This is legitimate. I can't speak to how old is too old but I've ridden 1970s era motorcycles with original tires (far beyond too old) and I've had a 10 year old F150 spare tire fail so I feel confident suggesting replacing old tires is a good idea.
Exactly what is too old is a matter of...
I agree with this.
Airliner tires are replaced based on tread depth. When the cord is showing they get replaced. Generally they are replaced with retreads which tells me sidewall wear isn't a huge concern. I'm sure airplane tires are retired at some point but they live a much harder life than...
