Yes I feel the truck is way too quiet for pedestrians. People walk right out in front of my truck in parking lots all the time. I would simply like to boost the low speed hum sound a little more.
Yeah these plastic pieces have been loose on mine since day 1. I’m not quite sure I get how this plastic plug helps though. I’ll have to go out and see later when it’s not raining.
I agree it’s the center speaker on the front dash that is throwing the whole soundscape off. I just wish there was a simpler plug n play replacement or some way to dampen just that single speaker.
I did discover a flaw in this recently. If you’re already mapped to a destination and driving and then you think, I’m gonna add a stop to this route to charge up a little. When you tap Add a stop and then choose Chargers - it ignores Tesla chargers. Which is kind of frustrating.
The cool thing about Ford EVs that even Tesla does not have is the brake pedal regen. So you don’t need 1-pedal to save brake pads. 95% of the time you use the brake pedal your friction brakes are not being used, instead it’s regen slowing you down. Unless of course you slam on the brakes then...
I’m also on the side of the fence that believes there might be something wrong. It doesn’t seem normal to have such extensive brake wear on an EV at 30k miles. Maybe the rear brakes are somehow squeezing the calipers each and every time the brake pedal is applied.
I had a chance to fully test out BC 1.4 on my commute today on interstate 90. The turn signal lane change works great and it only requires a tap on the turn signal. I also noticed it kept the Lightning more distant from semi trucks to my left or right. Those used to be stressful moments before...
I’ve learned from researching the yet to be released, Enphase bi-directional EV charger that the standard is ISO 15118. This is also what the Lightning and Rivian and other EVs use today for making plug and charge possible. It works with both AC and DC I’ve read. Long story short, in theory our...
I’m experiencing this today after charging to 100% for the first time in a long while. I let it sit on my level 1 charger for 25 hours (yes it took 25 hours) to go from 97% to 100%. Then I hopped in to check things out in car scanner. It’s showing I only have 97% State of Health and 120.48kwh...
So when I hopped into the truck just now I am not seeing any of these new sliders that the update said will be coming later. I’m not on the early release. Should I be seeing those sliders? I figured that they would come later as noted. I haven’t been able to try BC yet but hope to this weekend.
