From what I’ve read about this issue (it’s the thing I fear most) it seems somewhere in the neighborhood of 3-4% of lightnings could have this issue. I have no data to back this up though, only Ford would. There’s a nice video on YouTube that shows how the module is diagnosed as bad, how it is...
This is my rationale as well. I’d rather someone just unplug it vs realizing it’s locked and then trying to yank or smash it out destroying the port.
Is there also a chance Ford is going to introduce some kind of mid cycle change to the Lightnings being built in 2025? And taking the assembly offline for a few months allows them to set that up?
I think it was just dealer speak. I can translate: “I know you really want max tow, but that’s not what I have on the lot.” My own max two has been fine range wise and appears to make what everyone else is getting (non max tow).

I just got this message on my app for the first time today. Seems concerning if my 12v is already getting low being less than 12 months old. I have no accessories running except for the Fitcamx which is connected to the rear view mirror circuit that shuts off when the truck is keyed off.
For now it seems the only thing the west (Europe, North America) can and has done is to ban the sales of these Chinese EVs. But if china can make these for pennies on the dollar compared to western countries (with labor unions, fair wages, health Insurance, strict road safety regulations, etc.)...
Hang in there I had a very similar experience with a bad modem/TCU that took about 3 months after purchase to finally get it replaced. You can see my posts in this forum about it. Your dealer being 4 hours away definitely made this especially painful. I ended up missing the deadline for getting...
Kind of a specific question here, but I am seeing conflicting info on what frequency the TPMS is for my 2023. Mine was built at the very end of 2023 in December and I have the 20in Goodyear EV tires as OEM. I know it’s either 315mhz or 433mhz but not sure which one. I’m asking because I have...
