Can confirm: This is the only notification that I get, and it is only visible if you are already looking at this screen.
No errors, no warnings, no side effects (so far). ?
I just tried it as well and get the exact same thing after a dozen or so stops. No other messages than this one, and no other side effects that I've noticed so far.
From what I can tell, by changing that "1" to a "0" you're basically just tricking the Power Steering Control Module into...
Considering how many people were looking for this info and willing to drop $100+ for gadgets to shut this off, I figured it deserved it's own thread to help gather attention.
Big thanks to all the people helping to crack the code, especially @Airborne_Ape who was willing to test this and many...
Someone asked the same question (about fitting the max spare tire size, at least) back in February.

But unfortunately no one ever answered the question.
I would take a peek under there and measure between the closest...
As well as it worked out, positioning and the length of the cord, it was almost as if it was designed specifically for this application. I'm really happy with how it turned out. Hopefully you will be too. ?
Nice! And is that yellow fog light tinting I see as well? ?
Honestly that center piece looks good on your truck. I wonder if it has to do with the difference in paint color, or the fact that it matches your grille. Either way it looks much better on your truck than it ever did on mine, even...
Final assy complete.

A HUGE thanks to @Pinero for the replacement center trim piece. I hope that the replacement you have fits the light mods you are planning and I definitely want to see pictures of it once you are done...
OK, well... after a few adjustments to my original plan. Namely moving the plug location from the drivers side of the license plate bracket on the center trim piece to the passenger side piece due to my not realizing that the ridges on the center piece were significantly taller than I'd first...
Based on what I'm seeing on the other forum's FORScan thread, user platimun99 has been able to unlock it, however the interior LEDs are NOT multicolor, and they have had to change them out with what sounds like a prior years lights...
Not a clue, however there are quite a few people who are talking about having gotten an over the air update, but I've had my truck since the end of March and have had no indication that I've ever gotten one.
Not sure what's up with that either.
Glad to be of help. Hopefully you're not stuck waiting for too long. Once the world starts opening up again things should pick up pretty quickly...
Hopefully. ?
It's exactly 20 3/8 inches wide, inside to inside, both top and bottom...
and 3 15/16" tall at the very ends...
and 4 5/16" tall about 1 inch in from the ends.
Yeah, the opening is so the plug in for the heater can be accessed. I plan on installing a flush-mount plug-in onto the plate so that my truck has the closed off look it was supposed to have while still being able to use the heater.
The piece I pulled off is quite rugged. I would assume that...
I'm in the process of swapping out my open (think EcoBoost style) front center cover panel that was included on my 5.0L Lariat (due to ordering it with a block heater) for the closed style cover panel that the V8 is normally shipped with. However it appears that the license plate brackets are...
That is correct. This is the cable that I bought and I have had zero problems with it.
Other than the cable, just the software and a license. Both of which are free and can be found by following the links that Livnitup has listed in his tutorial in the first post.
As for cylinder deactivation...
I noticed that yesterday when I was hand washing my truck for the first time. The one on my passenger side creaks slightly when I pressed on it. The seams on mine are almost invisible so I probably never would have noticed otherwise. Interesting idea.
Cab and doors are definitely not steel...
