  1. Black Screens, Most Everything Unresponsive, Wouldn't Start

Had a nice long drive of almost 200 miles with several stops. Got home with 49 miles range indicated. Opened frunk and unloaded the full bed over ~20 minutes. Frunk wouldn't close, opened door and screens were black. Tried starting truck and start button flashed green. Pressed brake and tried...
  2. What is more valuable, dual chargers or heat pump for a MN driver?

I would go with the 24 to put as much distance (time) between me and the bad battery module issues that seemed to be clustered at the tail end of 22 start of 23 (when there was a stop sale).
  3. Squirrelly Steering Near Max Payload

That's a very good description of how it felt. Good to know about other trucks, as it also occurred to me that it could have been the independent suspension, but since it's common then that is ruled out.
  4. Squirrelly Steering Near Max Payload

I had this payload number in mind, and estimated less per cylinder. Interesting point that Google would have an estimate for various shapes and sizes of concrete - I've looked up weights for bricks and things on Lowe's site, but it didn't occur to me that Google might have numbers for...
  5. Squirrelly Steering Near Max Payload

:cwl: Deleted on my build, so the world may never know...
  6. Squirrelly Steering Near Max Payload

Anyone noticed when heavily loaded that the steering gets very squirrelly? It even has a bit of an oscillation as if pulling a poorly loaded trailer. This happens when the bed is pretty evenly loaded, and today it was even a little more front loaded. A few of these cylinders were even in the...
  7. Pics of Lightning Trucks Doing Truck Things. Post Yours! 📸

My temporary leveling kit: ? Also nice fast charger in Saugatuk, MI at the Weathervane Mall: And you might spot The Big Fish
  8. Just did my semi-annual "drop spare, air to 44psi, and wash"

My crystal ball apparently doesn't come in as clearly as yours. Must be nice!
  9. Driving ICE for the 1st time in years. I don't miss it.

It's not only the effortless acceleration, it's also the deceleration, and just surgical speed control. EVs are in control.
  10. Ford Adapter Delayed; Glad I got an A2Z

Got the May to June bump. Ford order 75xx. A2Z ordered 3/30. It just left their facility in Montreal on 4/25. Waiting on arrival.
  11. CSP-23B57 for High Voltage Battery Notice

Whoa! Were you locked in with this dealer for some reason? Sounds like the very last option to choose for repairs.
  12. New guy problems

Depends on daily miles driven. If 180 miles of range os not needed then no reason to charge to 100%. Plus sounds like it's on 120V for the time being. That will be about 2MPH charging or 20 miles in 10 hours. If driving more than 20 miles a day (on average) plan on supplemental charging. Can...
  13. New guy problems

Not that you'll need to rush to do this.
  14. Electric motor said ‘bye’

They should have it out and inspected for damage now before ordering and waiting on the part. Sounds like they may just be unrealistically hoping for a cheaper repair that is just going to cost your time. First they'll order and wait on this part then they'll figure out they need to order and...
  15. Tailgate Theft? WTH!!!

Did you have yours stolen? Because I thought just locking your truck with the tailgate up was enough.
  16. Underrated Benefit

Living in a small city in the Midwest does have some advantages. :) I imagine Tesla and Ford are on a more even playing field around NYC. My nearest Tesla service center is a couple of hours drive away.
  17. Underrated Benefit

It was a special case, with exceptional service, so it wouldn't be fair to expect that on average. Still, there is at least the opportunity of this happening for far more people thanks to the common platform and the dealership network. If it doesn't happen, then that seems the fault of the...
  18. Tire Rotation

I'm historically pretty easy on tires, and don't rotate them until I can see a difference from drive wheels to non-drive wheels. Mostly FWDs. Now with a heavy full-time AWD with a stronger-than-average front bias, should I be more stringent about keeping to the 10K schedule? Any horror stories...
