I see some people are having trouble breaking the top of the bed step off. I came up with a couple versions for a protector. They are made out of 1/8" x 1 1/2" aluminum flat bar. Counter sunk the holes, and had line X coat it. The one on my truck fits flush. I had to remove the hand hold and...
There is a company in Canada called ISFP Custom emblems and badging. They are helping me on my side fender badging. Haven't got it yet, so can't say about the quality. You may check them out.
My main problem was that I dropped the center part of the posi-tap connector. Then installed it backwards. One side of the center part of the connector is pointed the other is not. The pointed end must go into the side where the trigger wires are. Find a meter that can read less that 12 volts...
One more thing to look out for. Is the dark purple wires that you have to splice going to the ODB port. One has a black stripe on it, make sure it is connected to the same color wire. If you get it backwards the opposite side board will open. Ya, it happened to me.
My grandson routed mine, while I worked under the dash. Looks like he just followed the same route as my line from the air compressor to the rear air bags [on top of the radiator]. Wiring harness length was good, had to trim a little off the farthest LED light line. Again this is on the 5.0 motor.
Finely got my Amp steps on, they are so nice. Pay close attention to the Posi tap connectors. They need to go back together the same way as they came apart. Thanks to Sentine11201 his photo's made it much easier. I didn't have the hoses' on the passenger side to deal with [5.0 motor].
This is a great write up. I will be receiving my Amp power steps this week. Plan on installing this week end. All those pictures and instructions will save me a lot of time and head aches.
When I got my new truck, one of the first thing I did was mask off the front wheel wells. Then I sprayed a coat of under coating on them to seal them. I had this type of liner on my 2016 Silverado. They are like a sponge. When they are wet they sit and drip all over the garage floor. Large...
Don, I can agree with you. I have the same brand of trailer as you do. It is by far the worst trailer I have ever towed. It likes to wonder, especially when a semi goes past you. I have found that some trailers don't have enough tongue weight to stop them from swaying. The more you raise the...
$1500.00, from 4 wheel parts. Everyone looked to be all the same price. Down load the instructions. you will see that you have to cut to length for the scab truck.
Has anyone received there Amp power step, for 2021 f-150? I called Amp two weeks ago, and they said they have started shipping. Called my vendor 4 Wheel Parts, last week. They are a big out fit, they have not seen any.
Just got the Eibach pro truck sport leveling struts on last night. They say 2" of lift on the highest ring setting. I got 2.75" with my factory max tow coil springs. So far ride is good no floating or roll. It looks to be 1/4" high in front. Only 25 mi. So far am hoping they will settle a bit...
I don't know much about Fox other than they are well respected in the off road world. I think they would have been over kill for me. Any more it's gravel roads and towing. Have always ran Ranch 9000s with good luck, but I got tiered of waiting. One thing I read about the Fox is they recommend a...
I have been thinking of ordering a EV, with a large capacity battery. Then find somewhere I could charge it for free while at work or shopping. Then I could go home and use it to live off the grid.
I think you can go into settings and turn the day time running lights off. You may try it to see if that cancels the trailer lights. Just for a test only. That way you will know how the voltage is getting to the trailer.
I ordered a pair of Eibach pro truck sport struts yesterday, no springs just a strut. Looks like the same p/n that goes back to 2015 f-150. I am tacking a little bit of risk on them, because they only list for a 3.5 PB. I have the 5.0. Salesman said they just have not had anyone come in with a...
On mine I did the whole trailer set up thing, and I had to plug the trailer receptacle into my truck several times before I had 12 volt power. Once I got 12 power at the trailer I would have power at the trucks receptacle. Maybe I had a poor connection. After I finally got it to recognized the...
