They are supposed to give you a loaner for up to 15 days and beyond if approved. Refer them to CSP23B57. Your best bet is still to contact the BEV team but you should read the complete thread on that CSP and download the documents for reference. Here is the section on loaners.
The cables or adapters will not be able to ātalkā to the vehicle or the charger. To do that they would need their own power source because no power is available from either direction until the negotiation is complete so any active components in the adapter or cable would need a local source...
My understanding is that the V2s do not support the ISO15118 standard. That is the protocol that enables plug and charge. Older Tesla vehicles cannot use CCS chargers such as EAs even with an adapter because they can only communicate with the charger using the Tesla proprietary protocol. I think...
I donāt know of a quick way but if you click on a site it will show the power level. V2s are limited to 150kW. On PlugShare you can choose the Tesla (Fast) connector type and set the power filter to a max of 200 to see V2 and a min of 200 to see V3.
Iām glad to see weāre making progress toward getting access to the Tesla network and free is a good price but Iām not sure how much itās going to help me. Looking at the Tesla map and eliminating the V2s that wonāt work for us I only find 2 locations that will make my life any easier. Hopefully...
After multiple failures before Christmas I had 6.8 install on the first try today. I had the BMS update done a couple of weeks ago. Iāve never had an āinhibitā update install on the first try so it looks like maybe Ford has finally solved the problem.
You didnāt use any extra energy because it was too hot or too cold. It looks like youāre sitting at 71 which is the sweet spot where the battery wants to be.
Exactly. I see posts all the time from people who say they are waiting to buy an EV until they can buy one with a Tesla connector. By throwing uncertainty into the market Tesla has slowed down their rivals. Iām sure it has also had an effect on charge point operators who were planning to build...
Since Ford is selling Lightnings in Europe I assume they meet the international standards. The stop lights can be activated with any deceleration greater than 0.7 m/s2 and must be activated with deceleration greater than 1.3 m/s2.
There are two "front" cameras so it would be nice if the message said which one. This is probably the one mounted to the windshield, not the one on the front of the frunk since it's impacting the collision detection.
Yes. Had it done back in November. Look in FordPass under the Service tab and there should be a tile for Customer Service Programs. Look for CSP 22G06. You can also find it on the Ford website.
I have had two frunk glitches. The first time I put it in reverse while it was closing and I got the ear splitting noise through the speakers. Luckily it cleared by turning the truck off and closing the frunk manually. Yesterday at the grocery store I put it in drive while it was moving and it...
Oh yeah, I always knew it was supposed to but I spent a lot of time with the old sensor watching the HVB charge while the LVB dropped. Even with the truck running mine would struggle to add more than a couple percent per hour. Itās nice to see it actually perform as designed for the first time.
Got mine done last week and saw something today I had not seen before. I ran some errands today and when I got home my 12V was at 73%. I plugged in and it took about an hour and a half to get the HVB back to 80%. I then checked the 12V again and it had gone up to 85%. I know itās supposed to...
I donāt think anybody got both 6.4 and 6.5. It seems like maybe they were the same features but were for different hardware configurations. I also went from 6.4 to 6.8. I donāt have Bluecruise so I wonder if that is the difference.
Car makers are still stuck in the days when all they could do was turn on a light behind a screen printed symbol. Now we have a couple dozen computers and a giant video screen and we still have to look in a book to decode an icon. There should be a button on the center screen that will open a...
Two different visits. I think Iāve had it in 6 times with 4 visits (CSPs and recall) completed same day, 1 taking 2 days (carpet), and 1 taking a week (the SW, which should have been the easiest).
I make an appointment and my dealer sends someone to my house in the morning to pick it up and then someone drops it off later that afternoon. Theyāve only kept it overnight when they had to replace the carpet and after a failed SW update.
