I have one of these for a different location but I'm thinking about one for the truck. It's only useable with We The People brand IWB holsters.... Link
Nice writeup.
I have a very similar experience in NW WA except I pay a couple more pennies per kWh. Best vehicle I have ever owned. 43,000 mi in 14 months. It has also become the preferred rig to take for an annual hunting trip to North Dakota. It's surprisingly easy to roadtrip and has made...
THIS ^^
I also have WeatherTech mats and got a set of the long vent extenders. The stock rear seat floor vents blow underneath the raised edge of the WeatherTech mats. I tried a set of short extenders but they weren't long enough. Got a set of long extenders and they work great, they fit over...
Yes, I get the oops message randomly, maybe 20% of my "hey Google" requests. Usually an immediate repeat of "hey Google" works.
@Heliian , that sounds like weird behavior. Have you tried the "keep cellular data active while connected to wifi" toggle? It's in Android developer settings IIRC. Any...
Probably easiest to just open the driver's door to illuminate the cabin until your child is buckled. I agree that even with all of the cabin lights on, is still pretty dark.
I am just making wild guesses here, but I think the adapters would be the best bet.
Even if you swapped the stock J1772 charging port, I don't believe you would be able to change the truck's internal chargers to three-phase. The adapter should still send 240 volt AC phase to phase (L1 to L2)...
Valid points, but the frunk is pathetically slow.
One of the reviews that I watched (linked from this forum somewhere) compared the Lightning frunk speed to the Chevy, Rivian, and CT frunks. The Lightning frunk was sooo slooow that the reviewers were cracking up 🤣
Your 7 steps look accurate. For #3, the USB cables that you need should be included with the Comma and Q4 harness.
Everything Comma related to the Lightning is here:

Since it is all open source, there is no...
My thoughts:
1. I would absolutely use the current setup at 24 amps as long as the wire size is verified. Lower the amperage on the charger even more if needed. Get some electricity while you're there, it adds up quickly.
2. You can install anything up to and including a hardwired 80amp EVSE...
Glad it worked for you!
Bring it to the attention of your dealer on the next visit, or make it it's own visit if necessary. If your truck is still eligible under the CSB or recall (or however it was classified) you should still be eligible for a replacement.
Try spinning your headlight switch around and make sure it lands on "off" or "auto". There is/was a CSB where the headlight switch would get wonky and the truck thinks your headlights are on, or not on "auto", so the truck chimes the "headlights are on" reminder constantly. It's worth a trip to...
I love seeing stuff like this!
The programming part is out of my comfort zone, but tinkering with the key fob is giving me some interesting ideas.
I also purchased a 3rd fob with the start button but I do miss the ability to open the frunk with that fob. Is it possible to add the frunk opening...
Lots of gas and diesel cars until 2023. My favorite was a 2001 Golf TDi 5-speed manual that was super fun to drive and easily got 48 mpg. Unfortunately it self destructed after 135,000 miles...
First car with a HVB was an inherited Prius. I don't remember what model year. I hated everything...
