  1. Update: F-150 Lightning Fast Charging Tesla Adapters Start Shipping TODAY Per Ford!

It is entirely likely Tesla is making the adapter, sending them in bulk to Dearborn and Ford is packaging them in Ford specific boxes. Hence the need to move them and the delay for union labor….j/k??
  2. The truck won't charge... again.

A global might be nice, but I still want the site specific. At home I have one set and a lv2 near my kids mom’s house I have set to a higher limit knowing I am going to burn 12% on the drive home. So if I stop in her town I can get more power since it is a free 12kW evse
  3. Retrofitting front jump seat?

I think you will have a lot of work in front of you, but I think you can do it. Not sure if I would worry about a column gear shift. People have already modded it to use the escape dial. I would use that and make a custom mount that came in by the change purse. I wish ford would have offered...
  4. Cyber Truck Battery construction

Oh the Cyberdookie is disposable. I threw it in the trash on release day. I guess I should have recycled ??‍♂️
  5. FordPass: Charging logs & real-time charging data not loading

From my experience it is all saved in the cloud and the truck. I have never had to do anything other than log back in.
  6. FordPass: Charging logs & real-time charging data not loading

If you are using iOS, I found it is prudent to delete the app and reinstall it. Usually it fixes it in realtime. If you are using an Android OS phone, you can go into setting for the specific app and reset the system data to do the same.
  7. Running the Battery to 0%

If you are trying to not get below 20% SOC, yes your usable range at 2.1 mi/kw would be about 180 miles.
  8. Running the Battery to 0%

It would apply for the ER. The ER truck has 131 kW usable battery. If you want to use between 20%-85% of SOC you have 65% available so 85 kW. If you are averaging 2.0 mi/kW you have 170 miles. If you can average 2.2 you could eke out 190.
  9. Running the Battery to 0%

Unless you are conservative in your driving techniques, to see 190 on a highway road trip you would likely need to charge between the 20% and 85% SOC. Since the lightning still hold 50 kW at 80-85% you can wait about 8 minutes for that last 5% if you needed the extra 10-15 miles for a buffer.
  10. Running the Battery to 0%

Not always the case. In a lot of the US you could avoid the DCFS charging desert. With access to Superchargers and the RAN later this year, those desert are drying up even more. Assuming 85 kW available, that means around 170-190 miles of range. Totally doable. To get the higher number stay...
  11. UPDATE: Deliveries restarting. Lightning stop delivery / shipment is due to headlights issue (electric connection)

Hey at least is $5000 cheaper then when you ordered ?‍♂️. Might have been worth the wait.
  12. Chicago to Gulf of Mexico - Charging reports, charging speeds and costs with EA, Mercedes and Tesla NACS

You just need to be the cool dad like Clark and plan out all the fun things to see, taste, and experience for the 40 minutes you are charging in each town. ?‍♂️
  13. SunRun no longer facilitating Ford Pro Charging shipments with extended battery purchases

You might consider ordering a replacement J1772 or NACS cable from ChargePoint and replace the whole cable. I would hate for something to malfunction at your house and your insurance company discovers you altered the listing of the FCSP. They could deny your claim. ?‍♂️
  14. Toyo Open Country A/T III EV Tires Launched: Charge Up Your Adventure

They did, it’s called gratitude for taking the time to report their finding, that Discount Tire can use to sell us on them. The world would be such a happier place if people returned to the please and thank you era that my “boomer” parents instilled in me. Sorry, forgot I didn’t add anything...
  15. 10K Miles of Stats

Milwaukee has a heated jacket and gloves. Heated seat and the truck she should be happy.? Sucks how much heat eats. I am over 10k and averaging 2.4 mi/kwh
  16. POLL: Does your spouse refuse to drive an EV?

Mine either, so divorced we are. The girlfriend loves EVs. ???
  17. 46kWh at 60Mph on flat highway... Normal ?

Maybe it is because of the Lightning’s battery capacity, but I much more prefer the mi/kWh. Since I have the ER generally I have 100kW of usable battery, so it is very easy to see I am averaging 2.3 mi/kWh and know I have about 230 miles. Where 435 Watts/mile is less “easy”. ?‍♂️
  18. Running the Battery to 0%

As Tim “the tool man” Taylor would say
  19. Any benefit to occasional 100% charge?

Yes there is top end capacity. I have seen my Lightning charge 1-2% above 100% in CamScanner when I am allowing it to balance the cells. There is some low end, that yes is charged, but from OutofSpec’s experience, it is not much and if the BMS’ cell tracking is off you can end up waiting for a...
