The strategy consists of a really large dartboard with 200000 dots on it. Underpaid interns are in danger of developing tennis elbow from all that dart throwing, and carpal tunnel from writing all the winning numbers down. No beer either. Worst pub ever.
Heck yeah, mEVerick will be awesome when it comes! Probably at least two years out from now though. But, it’ll be “free” for us when we trade in our gently used Lightnings.
There’s a (very) lengthy discussion of this on the Powerboost forum on this site. Gist of it: it’ll work IF you disconnect the ground wire on the plug you’ll be plugging into the truck. Otherwise the truck’s internal GFCI will detect a ground fault and trip. Electricians hate it because the...
Sorry to break it to you, but investors would love it if the trucks broke down completely the second they’re out of warranty, and the customer would just buy another one. Short term profits make this world go ‘round!
At this point it’s strange that Ford won’t just email everyone and tell them which wave they will be in. Or if it’ll be 2023 MY. They have this info (except for the few that will extend their reservation), and nothing to gain by keeping it secret. Probably just disorganized IMHO.
$150 here in Mississippi. About what I used to pay in fuel taxes per year. Sounds fair to me, mileage based would be even better, and to really make it fair base it on miles AND weight. Large semis do >1000times the road damage of even the heaviest passenger vehicles.
Probably correct, and that’s why you can buy them brand new on eBay for $350. Granted that’s “only” 240V 30A, but even that’s plenty for almost every use case.
Thank you for sharing, it’s a nifty little calculator. Want to really fuel up on the cheap? Solar works great for me and probably will for most people on here.
If you have enough cash on hand your income is less relevant- you can still buy this truck (but nothing above XLT for me!). Unfortunately the income still is very much relevant for the full tax credit as discussed, therefore some of us have to get a little bit creative, as discussed.
