  1. 3,800 mile winter trip, new learnings

Did some damage on my mid-back on a fall while skiing 10 or so years ago that still crops up to this day, basically faceplanted and the spine went the wrong way. Hopefully the recovery is quick!
  2. CSP 24B56 - Inoperative Front Parking Sensor(s) - IPMA Software Update for Certain 2022-24 F-150 Lightning Trucks

I've been getting the errors popping up the past few days, is the 360 cam screen an issue with the 12" display or just those '22 owners with the 4a?
  3. Curious why some do not use 1 pedal driving.

I tried 1PD when I had my Bolt and found it to be less efficient with my driving style, and that carries over in the F150 on my commutes which is mostly highway. I feel I can coast when needed and regen that power where I wouldn't have been able to do so in 1PD.
  4. $69 EV Registration Fee. Increases are annoying. What about your state?

I wont have to actually re-do the inspection/registration on mine until 2029, but I'm hoping DE will overlook these fees.
  5. Using your EVSE/charger to power a garage shop heater

When we were watching his video on the christmas lights my fiance screamed from the couch "FINALLY SOMEONE UNDERSTANDS MY COMPLAINTS!" and bought like 4 boxes of them....which will be here in the summer some time. I enjoy the in-depth explinations he puts out.
  6. Lightning Charging in Maine

Might have to take you up on that as long as I can get up there this summer; I've been cheating using the oven outlet, need to twist the arms of my elder family members to upgrade the service to the house....well, "house" being used loosely, considering it was built in the 30s. I used the DC...
  7. Lightning Charging in Maine

I used only Tesla on the trip to Sebec Lake this past August/September. Looks like my stops were at the Falmouth and Waterville on the way north, and then Wells on the way south. There is what appears to be a brand new 8 stall lot behind a Starbucks in Bangor that I used on the way from...
  8. 2025 F-150 Lightning Job 2 Order Guide changes

The spare on my '23 is a 265/70/18. It isn't like they're giving you a space saving donut, the ABS and stability control won't freak out because the diameter of all wheel options are within .3" of each other.
  9. Automatic windows, they go down and back up automatically, then immediately go back down halfway?

Had it happen to my passenger side window after there was some ice built up along the top of the door. Left it as far up as it'd go before shooting back down halfway until it thawed out in the sun and everything was fine afterwards.
  10. Guide to Reducing Cabin Noise and insulation upgrade on F-150 Lightning

I did some insulation/sound deadening during an audio install that I may have posted previously; but I wrapped the back wall of the cab, the outer and inner door skins, as well as the door panels themselves. Made a big difference, but wish I could do something about that A-Pillar noise.
  11. No news must be good news.

In the two years/33k miles I've owned mine it has been to the dealer to fix the axle ting and then once more to fix a drivers seat clunk in the bottom cushion, which was an apparent TSB for all F150s. Both were quick no-nonsense repairs and the dealer was upfront and clear about anything that's...
  12. Ford EV Trucks still eligible for IRS tax credit in 2025.

Unless you get a Lariat with Max Tow + a spare tire :teehee:
  13. DIY: Installing ACC (Adaptive Cruise Control) and LKA (Lane Keep Alert) to 2022 F-150 Lightning XLT

Did you come out today to good news with the truck or were you still running into issues? I dont recall getting the Front Camera or Pre Collision faults after coding everything in, though.
  14. Ford EV Trucks still eligible for IRS tax credit in 2025.

Yeah that's been my struggle for the past couple of months. Found an Avalanche Lariat the other day that was $40 over the threshold. :cautious:
  15. Ionna Rechargeries

Got an alert on facebook that they're opening the Scranton PA location this Friday; not sure I feel like doing 5 hours of driving but I've done worse for car meets.
  16. Ford EV Trucks still eligible for IRS tax credit in 2025.

So now I've got a week to find a Lariat that isn't Oxford White or Black which has Max Tow/Pro Power but also no charger or other addons so it qualifies for the $7500. Should be easy lol.
  17. DIY: Installing ACC (Adaptive Cruise Control) and LKA (Lane Keep Alert) to 2022 F-150 Lightning XLT

Were you able to find any other info on this? I've been getting more and more intrigued by some of the numbers on a lariat but this and one post in the discord group are the only sign I've seen about the 2024s. NVM found ajzrides post in the comma thread.
  18. Anyone using Ford charge plug cover ?

I bought it last winter but it was back ordered until the next day after our last snow fall in January....maybe it'll get used this year.
  19. Ford Launches New Electric Road Trip Hub Site

It was something that only popped up as of a couple months ago, I'm sure some of the winter road trippers will report back for us. I tried it when the battery was ~75* but it appears that is the normal range so it didn't need to do anything. In theory it should do the same thing to ensure the...
