Is there such a thing as a EV charger that monitors amps at the mains and dials down the charger if total house usage approaches say 200 amps but lets charger rip at 80 amps if other house usage is low?

problem with guessing is when they start making them it will be likely at some small number - say 10% of capacity. It will ramp up but guessing when is hard. And that makes it really hard to predict qty pet month. . in month 4 they might make more trucks then month 1, 2 and 3 combined.

There is no reason you would need 320 amp service to backup power if your service is now 200 amps. Phyics sizes the wire from the panel to the pole based on the number of amps of power that the pole might sent to the house. your having backup power doesn't make more power go down the pole...

That doesnt mean they will make anywhere near 75K units. If means they are SLOWLY ramping up to a 75K rate or 6250 a month. All they are saying is that in the last month they build 2022s they hope to do 6250 trucks. One recent article had the number pegged at 15,000 for 2022.
