  1. Lightning Pro model with extended range. How to order?

The main appeal is the 12k+ price difference. For that price you likely could replace the seat and still have thousands in your pocket.
  2. List: F-150 Lightning dealers that do / don't apply ADM (price markup)

This is the one thing that I will call out the dealer being shady on. If you want to charge ADM it should be transparent at the time of ordering. Otherwise the dealer is using 'my' reservation to get a truck that he can sell to someone else and at the same time pushing me to the bottom of the line
  3. Lightning Reservation Holders Beware...

That is not the same. I can price shop a washer/dryer in 5 minutes between Lowes, Home Depot, PC Richards(East Cost Appliance chain), Amazon and Best Buy. Last truck I bought was a base Tacoma - like 4 cyl with no options). Being an option less truck it would be easist truck to price...
  4. October 26 is apparently NOT when 2022 F-150 Lightning ordering begins (order bank opens)

Exactly. that is what I am most concerned about as you basically give them your reservation when they build your truck. If you figure out a year plus later there is ADM that is horrible
  5. Lightning Reservation Holders Beware...

They will not be able to bake in most of it.. Right now It doesnt take you long to figure out that that you have a reasonable shot at buying this $50K ford for $46K. if you also like a slimiar Chevy truck you would be pricing comparing against 46K. If MSRP is the final price then...
  6. October 26 is apparently NOT when 2022 F-150 Lightning ordering begins (order bank opens)

Why is that suspicious. He seems to be saying this friend's relationship to GM may get him a better deal than others. i dont like ADM but how much profit a car dealer needs to make for the year is dependant on how much they can make per car multiplied by how many cars they can sell. If ford...
  7. Lightning Reservation Holders Beware...

When selecting brand A vs brand B they try to do the math in their head as to what the final price will be and compare the after discount price. So if MSRP became final price MSRP (or price manufacture discounts) will drop.
  8. October 26 is apparently NOT when 2022 F-150 Lightning ordering begins (order bank opens)

I was looking to move my reservation to Chapman based on my nj location and the no nonsense approach to pricing. Should allocations be something for me to be concerned about?
  9. Do I need to worry about dealer pushing price over MSRP?

ok.. my number puts me at 190,000th which cant be right. I guess for that day 1 it might be mostly f150s but other cars/trucks seem to use same numbers or they skipped numbers
  10. Do I need to worry about dealer pushing price over MSRP?

Two follow ups. 1)How do you know your place in line? I did wait a few weeks to make reserveration so I am know I am not super low but when I subtracted my reservation number from the lowest I can find it was a couple of hundred thousand higher which I think is more then the total number of...
  11. Do I need to worry about dealer pushing price over MSRP?

The refund and re-charge is a bit scary. but I guess as long as you keep same reservation number that is okay
  12. Do I need to run new 400 amp service in my house for the Lightning + everything else?

ok.. if they actually did the math then that is good. A typical electrician (I have a few in my family) will just eyeball it. But still worth doing the clamp meter test that I mention so you can see what your usage is so you can get an idea of what rate you can charge with the existing setup.
  13. Do I need to run new 400 amp service in my house for the Lightning + everything else?

How did the original electricians do the math? Did they go to every AC unit, stove, drier and write down the model numbers and/or find the plates for all the appliances? Did they count all the lights? If they tried to tell you that you need a bigger service just by looking at the service...
  14. Do I need to run new 400 amp service in my house for the Lightning + everything else?

Did any of these contractors put an AMP meter on the panel and have you run 'all your stuff?' If not they are just guessing. (Unless they went around the whole house and wrote down the values from all the appliance plates and counted lights). You can get a really good idea of usage yourself...
  15. Do I need to worry about dealer pushing price over MSRP?

I know how cars can sometimes go for over MSRP. I have a reservation with a commercial ford truck dealer in NJ - Causeway Ford. Wondering what the odds might be they will try and beat me up for extra dealer markup.
  16. Will it be possible to get adaptive cruise control and Lane keep assist on the pro

I know you can't get blue Cruise until you get to one of the highest trim levels. but it does look like the pro includes or is at least optional for the Ford co-pilot 360 assist. the names are little confusing as there seems to be a 2.0 version of the assist and an active version of the assist...
  17. Is Ford Underestimating the Demand for the Pro Trim?

What i meant was that i could add a hitch and 4 or 7 pin wire harness if it didn't come with it. But i spent some time look at gas tow packages and realize they are more about brake controllers and tech with cameras and hill ossist. Will the pro come with a hitch and a basic light plug...
  18. Is Ford Underestimating the Demand for the Pro Trim?

Looking that higher trim levels and I cant figure out what the value is in paying up for XLT or really even the lariat. For those that are going up a few trim levels what is the can't miss item. Look at the list the differences that I might care about seem small but not sure if I am missing...
