  1. Bedrug concerns

I'm going to be installing a BedRug soon. I was doing install research and found that there really isn't much information out there for installation around the work surface. Since I want to have the BedRug on the tailgate, but I still want the work surface to be usable I was targeting that area...
  2. Home Assistant - Ford F150 Lightning Dashboard.

I think I've got the start of the code to be able to toggle charging. Its not working yet, but once I have time I hope to be able to implement it. Since I was able to find the charging information, I'm hoping I'll also be able to find Zone Lightning Controls Pro Power Onboard Controls My...
  3. Ford -> It's your charger. No Ford, it's your buggy &*# code.

I would be really curious to see what the API has for your data with charging preferences. Also, side question: Do you use HomeAssistant by any chance? I recently started working on the initial run of being able to control charging through the integration. Its not fully working yet but I have...
  4. Disabling F-150 Lightning's Beeps, Dings, Chimes, Honks, Bings, Bongs, and Dongs

Whats strange about this is I know its federally mandated. I have the backup beeper that is annoying, but whatever I'll keep it that's fine - its a safety thing, I don't touch those. However, I have yet to ever hear my "low-speed" pedestrian noise. Haven't done any mods, I've just never heard...
  5. Mileage in truck doesn't match website

Not saying this is the case, but just throwing it out there as a possible reason. The data displayed in the FordPass app is originally returned in metric. A safe assumption is the data is stored in metric and converted based on location, country, preferences, etc. There is probably just a logic...
  6. Perfect Frunk Box / Storage / Drawer?

I'm trying to get organized and maximize the space in my truck. I have looked at way too many boxes trying to find the perfect storage solution for the frunk, seat, and bed. I'm the frunk I would want something that maximizes the space without impacting the usage of the removable/prop-able sub...
  7. Would like these Tesla features on my Lightning

To also add to this - all Ford would need to do to have a better software experience is....... Open up the API
  8. Would like these Tesla features on my Lightning

Its obviously not a solution to every problem but I was very unhappy with the FordPass App so I've been contributing to the FordPass HomeAssistant integration. I can tell you that from looking at what is currently enabled Will not happen because that data is not there. I was hoping to be able...
  9. F-150 Lightning Named 2024 Edmunds Top Rated Electric Truck, Second Year in a Row

"...a truck that just happens to be electric" Exactly how I describe my Lightning, and explain it to people. Other companies are doing something different, but I feel like over all the years of truck improvement and design - the F-150 doesn't change much for a reason - it works. Different can...
  10. Yet another Tonneau cover thread

Those are very nice looking, and a serious competitor to the Retrax one's. However, I think I want to stay away from powered retractable ones. I don't feel like running wires, and for my usage with the truck bed - I have no problem manually opening a cover. I decided to go with the Leer / a...
  11. Yet another Tonneau cover thread

Great info. I hadn't considered the revolver, but after reading many recommendations I ended up having it on my short list of covers I was considering. Made a pros and cons list for my usage and decided to try out the Leer. I almost got the DualLiner, it seemed to be exactly what I was looking...
  12. Yet another Tonneau cover thread

For anyone following, or the comes across this in the future. I ended up ordering the Leer HF650M. It seems to check nearly every item off my list of things I was looking for. Hard Cover Access to full bed if needed Doesn't rest on the window/truck Doesn't block the third brake light/camera...
  13. Yet another Tonneau cover thread

Thanks for the info. I was looking into the Paragon but I keep circling back to the Retrax. I'm also thinking I don't want the Pro model, maybe the RetraxOne but I'm not sure. I'm also leaning towards a BedRug also because that will work with my usage. I keep flopping between BedRug and Leer or...
  14. Yet another Tonneau cover thread

Good info. I actually think I'm leaning towards a bed rug now
  15. Yet another Tonneau cover thread

That is awesome! If you do that you will need to share photos. I'm trying to think of fun things to do for Christmas next this year. I am back to square 1 on my search because now I'm considering just saving some money and going cheaper, which gives me more money for other fun things lol
  16. Yet another Tonneau cover thread

All valid points. The Gator one doesn't fully fold up though, looks like its only compact for 1/3rd. Time to look at other options again today after work lol
  17. Yet another Tonneau cover thread

Looks like the DualLiner isn't going to work with a Tonneau so that one is out. How did you get the Husky mat for free?
  18. Yet another Tonneau cover thread

I think I am for sure getting the Leer. Thanks for the suggestion on the Gator though. For the Liner, I was planning on going with Husky Liners - because I have their floor mats and I LOVE them. I currently have no bed liner, so I like the option of a rubber mat to throw down. Not sure if the...
  19. Yet another Tonneau cover thread

Do you know if its compatible with a DualLiner? I'm considering getting one of those. I like the "beat it up" but "soft" nature of a drop in liner, but the rubber mat also appeals to me.
  20. Yet another Tonneau cover thread

I looked into the Diamondback and the Renegade. For my usage those are overkill. Considering this will be my first Tonneau cover, and for my usage of the truck bed I think I'm going to go with the Leer HF650M. It seems to check almost every box I can think of, and be affordable. If I'm unhappy...
