I'm very familiar with this. My lightning does this, and the two Rangers I had before the Light I did the same. IMHO it's designed to do so.
My experience is that this tracking happens when going around a relatively tight curve often at a slightly "fast" speed and as you statede, the left...
Have you seen Tesla's charging curve? Their max charge rate lasts about enough time to blink and then it's gone. Only get anywhere near the max rate of at a very low SOC. Pull up with 15% and your going to WTH???? Still there are plenty that do better than the Lightning,.many much better, and...
It has worked well for me. Pre-xonditioning, and routing and charger planning. AA is conservative on its estimated charge on arrival, but I much rather that than optimistic.
The drop off is a charging thing. None keep max rate all the way through. We have a Tesla as well, and frankly I'm not impressed with it's charging. The curve is not great, and falls off really really fast
Almost all of my updates have be n on Thursday, but a few have followed on Friday after. Thursday update. If I'm going to get a update, I always expect Thursday afternoon sometime.
I got this update today as well. Not early access.
Try setting a destination in AA. I don't see current state of battery, I see estimated charge on arrival at a destination. It also helps determining charging stops on a planned trip if needed. Lastly, you will probably need all permissions set to allow on the truck and phone for it to work...
My 23 XLT produced in early November if I remember correctly, has the front parking sensors. Guess I got lucky on those. Very handy when having to anug up to s Tesla Supercharger.
Tom from State of Charge states on Friday morning Batteries Included podcast that Ford has been rolling out an update that improves charging performance. Will have a video on it soon
I need to try this experiment. I have the update that allows Android Auto to trip plan and preconditin the battery, and also a scanner. I don't know the temp, but I can tell you I have had significantly improved charging when using the system, so I accept that pre-xonditioning the HVB is in fact...
Thanks for this. I had planned to do the shared setup, but could never find clear instructions that the electrician would accept. Side note, it's my understanding that a universal wall connector is not required, that two version 3 are fine. My understanding (possible incorrect) is the universe...
I believe in my case, it has always functioned this way. Charge now goss to 100%, and has as long as I've had the truck (1 year). Just accepted that this was just the way it was and would set an alarm to remind me when to stop it.
Fyi, if you are an Android user, that update also enables Android Auto to make trip planning using your trucks parameters much more like Tesla trip planned. It gives you estimated SOC on arrival, charging stops, estimated time at charging stop, etc. I have had a very positive experience using AA...
Some believe Ford has tweaked the charging curve since introducing the truck, but doesn't not change the official specs. Seems reasonable to not change the official specs so as to reduce the number of complaints.
I have the same to say about using Google maps routing. This past weekend, I tested it on a longer day trip. It seemed to account for wind, elevation, and temperature effects. In fact it was a little conservative resulting in a arrival with a few percent more than estimated. Like partly due to...
Research shows that typical US drivingay prolong useful EV battery life.

Not saying this is the issue, but when the Bucees in Springfield MO opened with V4 stands, it was something like 8 weeks before it opened to non-Teslas. Seems they wait a while before activation for other EVs.
OP, another thing comes to mind. Wonder if it's the CC tied to the account? Expired...
