That's wild, only thing I can think is the inverter's AC is too noisy, but even cheap VMMs should have filtering to fix that to measurement. Have you tried your meters on grid power and verified it works.
Hey, so I'm going to look at configs soon. OP, can you 100% confirm the AC power is 50hz? Or did you already confirm this? You can check this with a cheap multimeter (some have this function)
I could probably come up with a very affordable device to send the RS-485 signal to the FPCS to turn on the DC. Then anyone could use the DC for whatever they want. Would this be valuable to the community?
Yea, I'm guessing he didn't see the bed box pic you posted. In the US we call those plugs "Schuko plug". In PTS there is no diagram for this setup, I'm wondering if the truck was simply outfitted with the US ProPower 7.2kW bed box or that box was simply left out then the Schuko plug variant...
Correct, that was a copy of the "battery report" function from FDRS. I've asked FORScan admins to copy/implement this function, but they seem unmotivated.
I'll check this out, but are you sure this is a current AB for the truck or was this from the factory before it was modified per the "vehicle modification" placard you showed earlier? I guess we'll see when you pull the two module ABs. I can compare them once you post them. When you save them...
Awesome, Interesting, the GFM3 is the 7.2kW split phase inverter. Your outlet bed box also does NOT have the thermal circuit breakers like the US 7.2kW ProPro Power in the bed. Go into the As Built configuration for both the DCACA and GFM3 and do a save-all. Send the two files to me @...
OK, after you connect there is a "modules" tab at the top. Find your DCACA module and copy the details in text. Also note if you have any other DCAC modules, A, B, C???,, and note if you have a module named GFM3 which is what the 7.2kW 240V split phase inverter is called in the US.
Once we...
This is very interesting. I'm right in the middle of helping the DIY community add the 7.2kW inverter to Lightnings.
I'd like to grab the configuration from your inverter for comparison. Do you have FORScan? I'll instruct you on how to get this.
Yes, trying to add the second inverter, the big one, the 7.2kW. I definitely see how the AC power is routed differently and I will handle that no problem, you're correct the LIN from the bed outlet box is connected directly to the small inverter on my truck. This has the little green button...
I helped pioneer that ACC and LKA w/centering mod :) Good times, geeze we're(our trucks) getting old. I have 150kmi on my truck now and I still love it as much as the day I got it. Best truck I've ever owned and still feels like a brand new truck to me, coming from someone who isn't used to...
This just in: I'm ashamed that I started this mod thread over 3yrs ago now and still to my knowledge no one has done it yet. I am currently working on this again just recently and hopefully will have it figured out soon...
Been hesitant to post on this thread after being ashamed that I started the 9.6kW ProPower mod thread over 3yrs ago now and still to my knowledge no one has done it. I am currently working on this again just recently and hopefully will have it figured out soon...
Regarding the recent thread: https://www.f150lightningforum.com/forum/threads/could-it-be-this-easy-or-is-there-a-lot-more-besides-the-outlets-and-wiring.36584/
I was the one who created the original...
Ford won't do anything more than replace a module if it has a bad cell, then you'll be left with a pack with 8-80kmi modules and 1 brand new module :( ask me how I know; I had a module failure at 50kmi and 90kmi. Still, despite this imbalance of health across modules you're really only...
Like rugedraw said, have you cleared all DTC's, made sure none are coming back, tried charging again, see if any DTS set?
In FORScan you can use the Scope function to view PID's, there are a few to look at to show if the PP and CP signals are correct,,, search for control pilot and proximity pilot.
